Mountainview Windows and Doors

Decided to use Mountainview after spotting them at a neighbor's home across the street. Went over to speak with them regarding quote on window replacement. After receiving quote and checking with my neighbors to get their opinion on the windows they had installed which they were more than happy with I went with the guys from Mountainview. Zach was upfront about shipping delays which are out of his control and gave me a reasonable time frame on install. Once the product arrived the guys showed up and were in and out the same day. Fast, friendly professional service. No complaints, great job, great guys.

Met Zack in the summer to take a look at one of our windows on our main floor. At the time we were researching Mountainview along with a few other companies with good ratings on homestars. Although he did not come in with the lowest price, Zack was clearly very knowledgable about what they sell and install and that encouraged us to go with him. We quickly upgraded our install to include a total of 7 windows because we felt so comfortable with Zack and based on the reviews here. We were not disappointed - we got lucky and our windows came in early and Zack scheduled in a 2 day project to replace the windows and all went incredibly smoothly. I was working at home at the time and we never disturbed each other, Zack and his partner were always available to ask questions, assisted us throughout the process, and did a great job cleaning up. We love our new windows!

About six months ago my Husband and I started looking into having two of our windows and the backdoor replaced. We received multiple quotes from different companies but none of them stood out. The team was extremely respectful, arrived at the scheduled time and ensured covid protocols were adhered to, we couldn't have been more impressed. We were additionally impressed with measures taken to protect surfaces from damage and their continuous efforts to keep areas tidy throughout the process. Post clean up was amazing as there was no evidence that a crew was there except for the beautiful new windows and finishing work.

We had all the windows and doors replaced in our house. Zach was fantastic all the way through the process. Consultation and quoting was quick and collaborative. The windows and doors took a long time to come in but Zach set the expectation right up front and we weren't left wondering. Installation was super clean and efficient. They encountered some rot in a bay window and reframed and resided the area to make it look brand new. These guys are great and provide good value.

We were ready to change 4 basement windows. We originally contacted a well known company that changed our main floor windows. They told us they weren’t even doing quotes anymore because they were so overwhelmed.
So like most, we went to google and received quotes from a few different places. Here is why we went with Mountainview:

1. They were not “salesman”, but knowledgeable and qualified tradesmen. No upsale, no fake compliments and no high pressure tactics.
2. They did not tell me to make sure the “decision maker” was present at the time of the home consultation. Because it isn’t 1935.
3. They understood that we had a specific budget. Zach worked with us to find something that would check all the boxes and be in our budget.
4. There was zero pressure to make our windows egress. We would love to do that down the road but currently isn’t needed.

Our 1970s windows are gone. We have beautiful new windows. They were even able to match the trim around our main floor windows. I went down to clean up after they left and you couldn’t even tell that they had been there. The crew was so quiet - I forgot at times they were even here. Very professional and most importantly they provided high quality windows and installation.

We’ve already recommended them to several people. We won’t hesitate to call them for any other project.

Our home was hit hard during the 2020 NE Calgary hailstorm and being connected with Zach turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to us. Zach was able to come in and talk me through what our options were, what the timeline would be, and then if there were any difficulties, his approachable personality put me at ease that I could communicate easily with him. He gave me a suggestion that allowed for a better choice but still kept us under budget but provided a lot more light in in our house. The windows have proved this year to keep the heat out as big windows aren't likely to do. When they installed the windows they were in and out in the same day and cleaned up after themselves. Zach identified a fit issue and got on solving it before I knew there was a problem.
All told we have nothing but great things to say about Zach and his team. More windows need to meet Zach!
