Main Bathroom Repairs and Pot Lights

Justin and his team were excellent. They were polite, communicative and tidied up after their work. Great value for the price. They fixed the problem in my main bathroom and installed a new exhaust fan. Great value for the work order: new GFI, move a 15 AMP line, install pot lights in dining room, install new fan and light fixture in main bathroom.

Electrical Install Gone Bad

I asked Justin to run an electrical line to my Tesla wall charger about 2 years ago. Everything seemed fine at first. then my wall charger started to complain of "high temperature" and would shut off constantly when weather got below -10c. Called Justin and he just blamed the charger. Called Tesla and they said the install of the charger required "cripping" at the ends of the wires. Told Justin this and he just argured they were wrong and the charger was at fault. After several months of my battery not charging and having to pay for super charging. By buddy's dad who is an electrician came in "crimpped" the wires as requested by Tesla. And, the Tesla charger has never complained again of "high temperature". Something so simple Justin was not willing to do. I waited 2 years just to see if maybe he was right about the charger. And he's CLEARLY WAS WRONG. Choose someone that truly values their work not someone that just wants to get paid. Very disapointed in you Justin. You were wrong never was the charger at all but you're lack of due dilligence and arrogance and poor skill and competence when it comes to Tesla chargers.

Awkwardly located ceiling light successfully replaced!

This was a small job. We've wanted to replace the builder's light fixture which was located over the staircase for a number of years but kept putting it off because it was difficult to get to. I'd already purchased the light fixture and decided to try and find an electrical contractor through HomeStars. A few contractors responded but Justin from Finesse Electric was the most responsive and provided upfront pricing so we decided to go with them. They showed up on time, completed the work quickly and cleaned up any mess, which was minimal. I would certainly recommend Finesse if you have any electrical projects to get done.

Electrical Wiring and Ethernet Cables

We hired Justin at Finesse Electric to troubleshoot an issue with the electrical outlet in our study. He quickly diagnosed it and determined it was a loose wire on a light receptacle and had a reasonable charge for the service. We then decided to hire him for a larger job that required direct wiring some outlets in the home that were on the same circuit and would trip the fuse often. We also had work to do in the basement and running ethernet to various rooms in the home. Justin and his team quoted on the job and came as planned to do the work. For the most part the work was done well and his team did a good job of tidying up. A few months had passed and then we realized he did not run a dedicated circuit for one of the sockets so we reached out to him to get it rectified. He immediately responded suggesting that he discussed it with us and because of the damage it would cause to run the wire, we agreed not to proceed. This was not the case. In fact, he was referring to another outlet. Rather that work with us to address the issue, his suggestion was just to use another outlet in the washroom and wasn't prepared to discuss any other options. We ended up not getting the dedicated outlet. Very disappointing. I would be careful when using Finesse Electrical. You will need to monitor them very closely to ensure the work that you requested is actually completed before they leave the job site.

Hello Mohamed,

It is very unfortunate and disappointing to see this review, please allow us to clarify the derogatory and misleading statements you have made. Considering that you are our one and only negative review, we don't want our current and future clients to be misled by you.

*A few months had passed and then we realized he did not run a dedicated circuit for one of the sockets so we reached out to him to get it rectified - correction, the work was completed in January and you reached out to us in June, half a year later. We ran a dedicated 15 amp GFCI protected receptacle to your master bathroom giving you the dedicated circuit you required to resolve your issue with using 2 blow dryers

*He immediately responded suggesting that he discussed it with us and because of the damage it would cause to run the wire, we agreed not to proceed - correction, I responded confirming that in fact we had run a dedicated 15 amp GFCI protected receptacle to your master bathroom, but as we had discussed, it was not possible to give you the second receptacle in the bathroom to the right of the sink without cutting open your drywall and causing repair work in your master bathroom. You then reasonably agreed that you had no intention of performing patchwork in the bathroom, and considering that you did have a new dedicated 15 amp receptacle to the left of the sink as opposed to the right of the sink, the issue had been resolved as promised.

*Rather that work with us to address the issue, his suggestion was just to use another outlet in the washroom and wasn't prepared to discuss any other options - correction, Finesse Electric was more than willing to provide you with an additional receptacle in you master bathroom. my suggestion was not to just use another receptacle in the bathroom, it was to use the dedicated 15 amp GFCI protected receptacle we had installed for you to the left of your sink. What were the other options exactly that you suggested that we were not willing to discuss?

*We ended up not getting the dedicated outlet - correction, you got the dedicated 15 amp GFCI protected outlet that you were quoted, on the left side of the sink, resolving the main issue of not being able to use 2 blow dryers.

*Very disappointing. I would be careful when using Finesse Electrical. You will need to monitor them very closely to ensure the work that you requested is actually completed before they leave the job site. - very disappointing indeed, but not for the reason you mentioned. The company name is Finesse Electric. If you were not satisfied with the work, and you addressed that within a reasonable time frame, we would have been happy to ensure your satisfaction, as we at Finesse Electric strive to do the best for our clients.

Thank you Mohamed

Pot Lights, New Switches and Plugs

We are doing a renovation on a 50 year old house. Justin and his crew did an excellent job installing pot lights in the living room and bathrooms, adding new plugs and changing out all the old switches and plugs for new ones. Justin made great recommendations for the placement of the pot lights and adding plugs where they make sense (like this higher plug for a wall mounted tv, a bank of 4 plugs for all the devices that will be used with the tv and an empty channel for the HDMI to run between the tv and the cable box). They were very professional, courteous and efficient. They left the job site clean and tidy. We highly recommend Finesse Electric.
