Ecoline Windows

We dealt with Ecoline three years ago and were happy then. I ordered new doors and windows from them and am very disappointed now.

Their new policy is that they won't begin work until they have the full payment, which, after this instance, I understand, as I would have withheld payment until our doors were correctly installed.

With multiple issues, we have yet to be able to get the salesperson, the service department, or their scheduler to contact us.

Ecoline provides high quality windows and doors, Professional installation.
After compared several vendors, Ecoline replaced my whole house 3 layer panel windows and doors last year. my energy bills in coldest winter season dramatically reduced.

I am very happy with my new windows. they changed 7 windows in one day. The work was very well done, very professional. I recommend them.

Unskilled installers and work left unfinished.
After filing two complaint emails I have been ignored
There is a reason they are listed as a pre paid contractor and always ask for payment in full before the work starts.
The photos below speak for themselves - this is not a definitive list but just major items.
Front door installed crooked etc . etc. etc.

Door (between house and garage) was replaced on April 27/23. Payment in full was required prior to installation. The installation crew left without any consultation and then had to return within the hour to review that the door did not meet the fire codes as self closing hinges did not work. The crew indicated this was not there job to ensure it meet fire codes. Contacted Ecoline Windows customer service department who indicated that this is a warranty issue and would have to order new hinges that would take approximately a month. I would have expected Ecoline Windows to have inspected their product prior to showing up to our residence to install the door; which would have then provided a positive customer experience. This experience would not encourage me to use this company again.

Had a great experience with Ecoline. Excellent work done. Would recommend to anyone. Have had issues with other companies in the past.

My solid advice to you, dear reader, is to read all the 0, 1, 2 star reviews on google, HomeStars, BBB, and BELIEVE THEM. This company is awesome until installation. The installation crew that I got was unprofessional and disrespectful. Maybe you won’t end up with the crew I got, but do you want to take a chance? They argued when I asked them to put their masks to cover their faces. They left debris all over my door mat and garden. This could all have been forgiven but their workmanship was horrendous, almost non existent. The frame around my windows is mangled and some pieces are cut too short, some too long. Globs of caulking have been used to fill large gaps. I don’t think these guys even pulled out a measuring tape while they were cutting the finishing pieces. Go check out my photos and try and imagine yourself going to take a look at the finished work the next day when it’s light out. It was shocking, horrible. The pics you will see are my BRAND NEW WINDOWS. I stopped payment on my cheque. These guys make you pay in full before they start the job. What leverage do you have left after that? None. Since I stopped the cheque, they refuse to come back and finish the job. I want to be clear here. I would have been delighted to have fine new windows and pay Ecoline for a job well done. I would have loved to have been someone who could leave rave reviews, recommend this company left and right. These guys are not what they seem; there is so much irony reading their website after the fact. Who knows if the windows are even good quality. They take your money and leave a mess in their wake. I still have open walls and crappy windows. STAY AWAY. Pay a bit more and get some piece of mind.
