Purchased 3 retractable screens to enclose a patio. Each screen consists of smaller panels that are attached to windbars that run the width of the screen. The screen is bonded to the windbar across a rubber strip that in about half a centremetre wide... the screen detached from the strip and continued to detached further from use given the weight of the screen. I only had the screens up for a week at which point I had to take the screen down and glue it back onto the rubber strip. When I called the Mississauga office they basically said once the screen leaves the shop its my problem and did not want to consider any possibility that there could have been a defect... a brand new $16k screen that i had to glue and duct tape back together.

I had a very disappointing experience with this provider. All specifications for my custom table, including the exact color, were clearly provided in writing from the very beginning. Despite this, when I later asked for a project update, the provider claimed that the original quote did not include the specified color—something that had already been communicated upfront. At that point, he requested additional money without transparency. I asked for a clear breakdown of the extra cost so I could make an informed decision. As someone who values trust and honors commitments, I was open to reviewing it fairly. Unfortunately, instead of responding, he completely ghosted me and stopped all communication. From the start, the interaction felt unprofessional, including rude behavior, which in hindsight should have been a red flag. This experience reflects poor communication, lack of accountability, and disregard for client agreements. Very disappointing overall. I would not recommend this pro

We worked with Mark to re-finish our basement after we had a small flood. This was our first big renovation in our home and needless to say we learned a lot about the process from Mark! The basement was old, and needed a full gut down to the studs which included a full bath renovation, some laundry room work and the main area (insulation, new lighting, new flooring, additional support post installation for future upstairs wall removal, some HVAC). We also had Mark update a powder room on the main floor. From start to finish Mark helped us understand what was happening and made sure we were made aware of things they found when walls were opened up and plumbing and electrical was exposed. All of the sub-contractors were great and showed up on time and when we expected them per Mark, and Mark was very responsive if we contacted him with questions and really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the result. The work area was always kept exceptionally clean and was tidied at the end of each work day, which we really appreciated because we were still using the basement for laundry. Overall we have been thrilled with the end result and will be using Mark again to complete our main floor renovation next.

Install or renovate stairs- 11 Jun 2025
We were looking for a provider to make and install oak treads on our stairs. Jose from VDR worked with us to fully understand our needs. During our visit I mentioned that we were replacing about 900 sq ft of carpeted floors on our second level with hardwood and he mentioned that VDR also did hardwood floor installation. We hired VDR for both jobs. Their pricing was fair and competitive and and we were provided with a detailed statement work. Hardwood installation was completed in 2 days and completed about a week after agreeing to work with VDR. The stairs included new oak treads and risers. In total, the work took 4 days - the first day to remove the carpet, tackboard and staples and to measure the existing treads (the treads are not all the same size and some are angled) and then 3 days to install the new treads once they'd been manufactured and stained. We are very happy with the end result.
