My name is Jim. I pride myself in quality workmanship using quality tools. I’ve worked in the construction industry for nearly 40 years. I ran my own tile and flooring installation business for 20 years in the Orillia area. I’ve been a site supervisor on residential and commercial properties for over 5 years. I can pretty much fix anything in your house excluding appliances and major plumbing or electrical work. I can do carpentry (rough and finishing), insulation, minor drywall sheeting and taping, painting, minor plumbing and electrical work, any tiling or flooring excluding carpet, hanging doors and door hardware etc, etc. I can do light welding and have my own mig welder. I can solder copper pipes and install pex as well. I have all my carpentry tools, flooring tools and drywall and painting tools. I dont shy away from smaller projects though. I do very much enjoy deck builds and exterior finishing like siding/ aluminum work. This for me means that If I take on a large project for you I will be doing majority of the work. I dont like going under the title of a “general contractor”. In my experience I find that this ushually means the work is being sub contracted out to several people and if the time comes were there is possibly a issue the customer gets more false promises then solutions. I dont want that for my reputation so I stick to what I know and consistently am straight forward to the client. Honesty is key.
