Repair toilet or toilet flush- 12 Jun 2026
He installed two toilets for me and two bidets. Both toilets were installed really well. One bidet was installed incorrectly, he came back the next day but said he didn’t have what he needed to fix it. Originally he was supposed to install two toilets and repair the kitchen sink. The biggest issue is communication. He kept up the prices when we had agreed on a price. We were talking for a couple weeks and the day before he was coming he said he would need 50% of the payment before hand. Which if I send him $275 when you arrive. Would you not correct us to say oh that’s actually not 50%. Because after he did the first toilet install, the bill he sent us was $250 more than agreed upon. Which doesn’t make sense, because when we sent him “half” it should be another $260 and NOT $260 plus another $250. And then the second day, he’s saying it would cost 400 to fix the sink, which doesn’t make even more sense. then he refused the throw out the second old toilet and wanted to charge us extra

Landscape curbing- 18 May 2026
Initial meeting with Jade was great and very encouraging. She was on board with saving as many native plants as possible to be replanted after the landscaping was done. Timeline was challenged with no consistent start times and very little proactive communication. If you need the work done in a certain amount of time, be very specific to get that commitment. Most of her crew must have been new, as their efficiency was absent. Jade had to come on site to correct things numerous times. Ending the project had a number of issues, we found a number of incomplete pieces because there was no walk through done. After getting the walkthrough, it took many contacts to get the issues addressed to satisfaction. In the end, our yard is 90% where we wanted it, which we could not have done ourselves. If you are precise about things being level and even and exactly rights you will want someone else.

Mabda (Ben) is a someone you should avoid at all costs. He charged me $350+HST for fixing a sink at a condo I own. I trusted the work would be done and did not follow up to confirm. Buyer beware, the sink was not fixed at all! If he challenges this review, I have receipts showing what I paid, and pictures that show it was never fixed. Stay away!! The best/funniest part is, he flooded my toilet when he was there too just my luck! Read the reviews and don't waste your time. The good ones are probably fake.

I had a door added to the entrance to the third floor for privacy, this required the door frame and wall where there was only a stair well before. He kept it flush with the wall so that it didn't take up hallway space and it looks great. It was a difficult fit but he made it look like it had always been there. Great work.

Wonderful experience and job well done. Special thanks to Michael for heading the crew and getting the work done ahead of time. The backyard grading along the property line between my neighbour and myself happens to be quite contentious. It has been mediated by the Richmond Hill Grading Department (RHGD) who have been quite understanding and reasonable in their handling of the situation. When the request came from the RHGD on what was needed on my side, a call was put in to Greenlane Landscaping to estimate the job and provide details on when it could be done. They, in fact, were the only landscaping company that answered my call. Michael, their landscape architect, came by and scoped out the job. It was done in a professional and congenial manner. The terms were agreed fairly shortly after that (regrade of the the area and resod as needed) and the date was set. There was a wrinkle in that the job date had to be pushed forward to meet the needs of RHGD and that was accommodated by Greenlane. When the date came, Greenlane sent a professional crew supervised by Michael, and they did a highly professional job. The crew was congenial and and empathetic in their relations. The job was completed to a first rate standard. the sod and soil provided were excellent and the instructions provide to keep the sod growing were easy to follow. In fact, the sod is the best grass I have in my backyard. There have been no issues with RHGD regarding the work done so far on my side of the property line. Thank you Greenlane on a job well done.

GE appliances recommended Kirk to replace the glass stovetop on our induction oven. My wife paid for the work, by VISA, ($624.56) but when we were e-mailed the receipt, it was for $489.04. When contacted he stated the extra charge of $135.52 was for labour. When he was informed that the GE receipt for $489.04 included labour and all taxes he then changed his story and stated that "they" were having billing issues and "it would be adjusted this week". As expected, we never heard from him again and he won't return calls or e-mails. Avoid Smart-Tech Appliance Service - this individual has no moral compass and does not care about ripping-off seniors.

In my front yard, the "Interlock Walkway and Steps to the Front Porch" shifted and sank within the first year after it was installed by another company. After getting nowhere with that company, I started searching for a company that was credible, competent, and capable of correcting this huge dilemma and safety concerns. Champagne Construction And Interlocking was the company I needed. Its managed by a skilled professional person Matt, who surrounded himself with similar people who are experts in the interlocking business. When the representative came over to work on a quotation to correct the problem/issues, he spent much time observing, measuring, probing and asking questions. Then he clearly explained to me how he planned to correct the problems and issues, as he saw them. He told me that they would have to remove, clean, reuse, adjust, replace, and re-install the interlocking stones and steps. He later gave me an estimate and notified me that the price could change (increase) depending on what he found within and below the base underneath the interlocking stones and steps. I accepted the estimate because I trusted his honesty and believed his expertise based on reviews I read about the company and comments from my friend and a former customer of the company. However, I waited a while (no regrets) for the company to get started and realized then that they took their time to get their jobs done correctly in their first attempt. When they started my job, I observed their careful and confident approach, and the quiet dedication and commitment of the team, particularly Dustin (Michael) who did a great job in rebuilding the steps and walkway. Champagne Construction And Interlocking has my vote and I highly recommend this company to everyone out there!
