Popcorn ceiling removed. Edges were not finished properly. Dust not attended to well. Debris was swept into heat vents. The work site was very dirty when they finished the job.

Repair or maintain fence- 2 Apr 2026
Phil fixed two panels of my fence and my wooden gate to the backyard, and he did a really solid job! The fence looks great and the gate opens perfectly again. He showed up on time, worked efficiently, and knew exactly what he was doing. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the cleanup could’ve been a little better, but overall I am happy with how everything turned out. Would definitely call him again for any fence or other handyman repairs!

He did my whole kitchen and it looks horrible!!!!! I showed him what I wanted and my kitchen looks nothing like it ! Im currently drawing up paperwork to take him to court! So unprofessional! I saw him looking at my wife in a unprofessional way as well!!!!! I would not recommend this team what do ever !!!!!!

Don't use these guys. They are absolutely terrible. They don't order material when the project starts, resulting in delays and then we needed to select different items due to their negligence. They fired their project manager mid-project and didn't tell us, so we had no communication or activity for weeks. After the project was complete, we had issues with the counter-top. My wife emailed and called them several times, and even emailed the owner Ramon, and still they didn't respond, despite us having a 2 yr warranty. I wish I could review the installers who came to the house separately, they did a great job overall, and we were happy with them and the final result, but the people in the office made our kitchen renovation a terrible experience. If 0 stars was an option I'd give that. The owner is a good talker. "We'll take care of you, I will handle it myself, we will make it right". All just talk. Once you leave the office you'll never hear from him again. I 100% would never recommend this company to anyone. Find another company unless you want to be frustrated throughout your entire process.

Wall or floor tiling- 10 Aug 2025
I thought Mustafa did a great job on laying the tiles. However the job was delayed by 1 week and I had 3 rooms to remove the tiles and lay the new tiles. With the delay I removed the tiles from one room and cleaned up all the thin set. When he finally arrived to do the work he said wow good job that was a lot of work. Yes it was a lot of work but he did not reduce his price at all. He helped move the appliances and removed a set of sliding doors, shoe rail on the baseboards and one kick plate on the kitchen cupboards. When he finished tiling he said that he was finished and was ready to go. I asked about reinstalling the shoe rail on the baseboards, the sliding doors etc. he said he lays tiles the other stuff is not his job. I feel that if you take it apart that you should put it back. Good thing I’m handy or I would have had to hire a carpenter. I had to cut the kickplate to fit drill holes in porcelain make new moulding due to breakage. Finally he cleaned nothing.

The job was supposed to take 4 days and we're currently on day 11 and its still not done. 12 tiles need replacing due to them popping up. Petr does not want to repair them. Multiple issues of no shows for the job and half days with different reasons each time. There is mortor all over our AC unit and siding due to the washing there buckets right beside the house. Also damaged drywall from removing the trim. I would not recommend him.

We started our renovation with such high hopes but the project ended prematurely (and was left incomplete) leaving us with absolute disappointment. We had to hire another company to fix the shoddy work Luis left behind. Luis can do alot of things but unfortunately in our home he did nothing really well. Based on the work he did for us, I can only conclude that he is nothing more than a glorified handyman parading as a professional contractor. My suggestion is to keep looking. He was a nightmare. If you read Luis' reply to this post, don't believe a word - just look at the pics. He is trying to paint me as the problem when he needs to look into the mirror. This job was not finished as Luis was fired from the project due to poor workmanship. He makes it sound like he returned my money but this is untrue. He paid back a small portion of the pre-paid installment payments which were made in good faith and on time. Despite what he says below, he just could not deliver what he promised and what he did deliver was generally sub-par. A third contractor (not hired) that saw pics of the work said, "The picture you sent me needs to be completely torn out, absolutely terrible work, Im not touching that with a 12ft pole. Sorry man, dont take it the wrong way. Im not interested in fixing anyone elses work or having someone elses work be the base for my work. If youre not willing to tear that out, Ill pass."

Sam and his team did a fantastic job repairing the damage in our basement as a result of flooding from the rainstorms this summer. They were fast, efficient and professional. We had a previous contractor perform a horrible reno on our onsuite bathroom last year and the shower started leaking - right through to the living room below. Wojtech and his team did a fantastic job of gutting the bathroom and remodelling exactly as requested as well as fixing the ceiling in the living room. We encountered some additional structural problems due to the terrible job done by our first contractor (hope there's a special place in hell for that guy). Wojtech fixed it all without extending our schedule and with minimal additional cost. All work was done extremely professionally and we are very happy with the results. I highly recommend their work and will definitely use Protek for any further projects that may come up.
