In metal installations, we always use 2" x 4" spruce wood strapping every 2 feet, attached to the rafters, to support the metal structure and for it not to be installed directly over the roof. We always change aluminum roof drip edges, plastic flashings and vents. Also install whirlybirds if ordered. We cover the garbage disposal and clean fallen nails with a magnet.
