Iris & Rose is the creation of Emma Kennedy, born after years of making small detailed artworks while working and exploring extensivly in wild remote places - always wanting to make larger pieces, but not having the space for it. After a near death experience in 2021 her entire world view changed and she began taking steps to find a way of making a living in a creative and meaningful way that still allowed for the freedom of movement that her nomadic spirit desires - arriving eventually at murals. Part of her love for mural painting is driven by sustainability. In a world full of things, turning the wall it's self into a piece of art, giving life and animisy to static structures, is a way of creating a living legacy curated to specific homes and spaces while cutting out the density of objects. She also aims to use as many eco-conscious and sustainable materials as possible. Combining studies in fine art, qi gong, and metaphysics as well as years working with her hands - Emma blends craftsmanship and artistry with energetic sensitivity. All her painting is intuative, intentional, and evolves throught the project. Most of her inspiration comes from time spent in nature, looking, listening, and learning. Changing the paint job
