We had an absolutely nightmarish experience with Student Works and I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. It would take far too long to tell the whole story, but let me summarize with the following: 1) they did not start when they said they would (they were about 6 wks late); 2) they did NOT do proper prep work (scraping, sanding and priming) as promised in the contract (I even caught them painting directly over MOULD in one spot, without ANY sanding or priming); 3) the job took about twice as long as they said it would; 4) they painted some surfaces that were not meant to be painted; 5) communication was terrible; 6) their claim that they have conscientious , carefully-trained painters is a LOAD OF CRAP. Their quote was by far the cheapest, and now I know why: they underbid to get jobs and then THEY CUT WHATEVER CORNERS THEY HAVE TO in order make a profit. Trust me, pay the slightly higher price and save yourself the headaches. I know I learned my lesson.
