We were a little naive about how many holes we would end up with when we decided to have our house completely rewired. Three Steps Drywall visited our 1960s house to thoroughly assess the situation in person. They counted 75 holes in our walls, said they would include all the smaller fixes around outlets and switches and emailed us a quote a few days later. Drywall repair is a mysterious trade and Daniel and David didn't skip any steps, delivering a seamless, perfect job. The end price was the price quoted. Trust the process and Three Steps Drywall will deliver. Highly recommend!

Ring Electric did a great job with our rewire which included all-new wiring, of course, replacing old switches and outlets with modern ones, adding outlets where needed to bring rooms up to code, adding ceiling fans and replacing old light fixtures with three dozens potlights. They were careful to keep our old-school swirl ceilings intact which we greatly appreciated. A new 200 Amp panel was installed and the old fuse panel was updated and became a pony panel. Electrical power coming into the home was relocated to the other side of the home instead of over the backyard, a job that required working closely with Ottawa Hydro. We had two to six electricians working at all times. The whole team was professional, knowledgeable, respectful and keen to deliver on our more specific requests. Our house easily passed ESA certification. Highly recommend!

Bill framed up a wall, added a vapour barrier, insulation, drywall and mudding, then sanded, primed and painted, all this in less than two days. Bill brings lots of knowledge to the project and makes sure you get what you need, including what you had not thought of. His quote was reasonable and he was a pleasure to be around. Highly recommend!

We moved into our new house and soon realized we had some pesky plumbing problems. We called Environmental Plumbing and they visited and provided a quote the very next day! Two problematic outside faucets were replaced, the old kitchen sink basket where food was getting stuck was replaced with a modern one and the toilet shut-off valve which had previously been installed too close to the base was cut shorter and made proper so it could be turned off when needed. One of the outside faucets had oddly been going through a basement window frame and required a full re-install involving drilling through the foundation and installing new copper piping (stellar job) and a shut-off valve inside the house where we could reach it. When an extra issue was found under the kitchen sink, Gary made sure to find a cost-effective way to fix it and did the work on the spot during the same call. He also took the time to explain some plumbing concepts, so we could understand how things work. We found the service to be professional, courteous, detail-oriented, honest and friendly. Highly recommend!

Thanks for the review, sorry for the slow response.

A friend of mine recommended this company to me because she had a good experience with them. Unfortunately, I did not. Two movers showed up. One was friendly while the other - the one in charge - was aloof and spent the whole time with a cellphone in his ear chatting up his friends while loading up the truck. At one point, I was surprised to see him actually throw one of my boxes on top of a pile of boxes. Once my things were all loaded up, we drove across town and at the other end they began to stress out as they were running out of time for their next scheduled appointment. So I began helping them out. Half the stuff was quickly put into my house in a half-hazard way. I had labelled my boxes as to where I wanted them (i.e. kitchen or basement), but they paid no attention to that. I was asked to pay before the job was finished. The other half of my things were quickly unloaded onto the driveway for me to bring into the house all by myself!

Dear Ponyta.
We have spoken to our movers about leaving boxes on the driveway. We have established that part of the moving requires that we sometimes leave objects at intervals to make the work more manageable. We have tried to contact Ponyta but have been unable to contact you. If you happen to read this response please feel free to contact us to make up for any of our shortcomings.

The wonderful thing about Dennis is that he gives you a price, not a quote, and he sticks to that price - unless you make changes once the job is in progress. He's a great communicator - by email or phone, and issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner. His workers are courteous and keep the worksite relatively clean. My experience with Dennis was a very positive one, and nothing like what you see on Holmes on Homes. I get great comments on my railing.
