Kelvin is kind, considerate and very helpful. He showed flexibility on this project and transparency when providing the quote. He started when he told us he would and with relatively short notice. I asked him to help with some insulation which we did have issues with along the way, but he fixed everything upon request and provided photo documentation. Their expertise is really the drywall and mudding for which we have no complaints. We have already started recommending nator drywall to our friends and family and will continue to do so. I look forward to many more projects with them. Thank you Kelvin.

This was a very challenging job that took substantially longer than expected. Notwithstanding, Dan and John pulled resources together to have as many as 9 people working the site when needed. Conditions were punishing but they didn't give up and greeted us each day with smiles. They worked through multiple injuries and engineering hiccups along the way. The team was a pleasure to deal and are sorely missed by our little kids. Trevaughn, Fernando, Saul, Abdi were a few of the excellent workers that stood out. But the plumber adrian and engineer ram showed tremendous commitment even after the job was done to help us close the permits. You pay more for this team but you get a lot more. Excellent service, professionalism, and communication. Over 16 weeks they never allowed our confidence to waver. Thank you True North for an excellent job.

Hi RP,

Thank you for the long and detailed review. Your job was a tricky one, but we pulled it off. I think we'll take a break from your street for a while. Enough of that water for now. Enjoy the new basement space and don't forget to send us some pics as you finish it.

Very poor service and product quality. Products show up damaged and delivered to bizarre areas of home. No one reaches out to address the issue and Customer Service manager Jay does not return calls for 2 weeks. You just get an email to rebook delivery. So we rebook delivery, get no calls regarding arrival time from delivery company until they are waiting at the door for 15 minutes and they pull away as we pull in. Ovation, the delivery company sends extremely rude delivery person that bosses the painter around and tells off the customer. Nothing from Canadian Appliance Source but an automated re-booking notice. Finally get a hold of the customer service rep and he won't even agree to waive the SECOND delivery charge. I'm completely confused how these people continue to operate. They have failed at every step of the process. Appliance suppliers are in great supply. Select anyone else and save yourself the time and money.

I ordered a large picture window from this company a year ago and though it took months to receive i was happy with the product and service. I ordered a patio door through this company more recently based on my positive experience. I followed up 2 weeks before scheduled delivery and was told everything was on scheduled. I followed up the day before to find out it was going to take another week. So i rescheduled the installers. Finally the day arrives and i get a call from the delivery person saying they won't bring it up to the stairs to the house as a matter of policy. I repeatedly told the rep that there were stairs in all correspondence. i also reminded them of the last delivery as i know it can be an issue moving things. in the end, we are scrambling to get this large patio door off the curb of a major thoroughfare in Toronto. No compensation or anything offered. Very poor service stemming from ill-informed reps in their office. Not sure if the $4400 patio will even be intact by the time i get home today. If they get this wrong after repeated warnings they could get anything else wrong. Go anywhere else for windows and doors.

Rino and team have been doing a thorough job at our building for just over a year now. They installed the system that spans 5 entrances to the 70,000 SF building and have been providing individual, cost effective service on an institutional level. I am in constant communication with the team and they seem to know of problems before I do. This has been particularly important as the building is being renovated which has left it more vulnerable to theft. I feel like we are in good hands with New Age Security.

Once again Khem and team did a great job adding plumbing to a new bathroom in a 3rd story extension of our house. It took them a few days but they worked diligently over the weekend and got it done before it got too cold outside. Though chatty, Steve was courteous and very creative in solving problems. I always feel well looked after when Everest is on the job. Thanks for the job, guys.

John and team cleaned our 70,000 SF flex office space after a major renovation. We asked him to quote the project on a Thursday, he came out to see it on the Friday, was working starting at 530am on both Saturday and Sunday, finishing on Monday afternoon. Incredible. All the fine dust is gone and the deck looks much better painted a clean white. His colleagues are friendly and given the competitive quote I will be using this company in the future for sure.

Chris and team came in to help me with a custom shower stall that was stalled incorrectly and was leaking as a result. I liked Chris the first time i met him and he was prompt and courteous. The scope of the job expanded fairly quickly after demo due to mold damage but Chris was good at assessing the situation and providing recommendations on moving forward. Chris was creative and considerate in working around my tenant. He also let me borrow his tile saw for another job i was doing which is representative of the type of person he is. In the end, $9,000 was more than i wanted to spend on the job, but what i was left with was a professional finish and a happy tenant. Remodel Construction stands above the rest when it comes to communication. I got calls and emails with pictures regularly. Never did i feel like my project was second to another. the work did not stop once it got going and I got the play by play. That's worth a lot in this business. Thanks, guys.

Thank you for your testimonial about the renovation we recently completed for you. We have been doing renovations for 30 years and we know what our clients want when it comes to renovating. Clients want contractors to do what they say are going to do, they want then to show up every day until the job is finished, they want communication and they also want a contractor that works with them. We have tried to perfect this overy the years. Your project was a little more unique than others because your tennant only had one washroom so we tried to be more sensation of his needs. We know that our clients like to know the progress of the job and how we are progressing. We also know that things change during any renovation becsuse we encounter situations that change the scope of the job that are out of our control. This is one of the reasons why we believe constant communication and keeping our clients informed is really important. We really enjoyed working with you and look forward to working with you again in the future. Thank you for your business, Chris and all the crew of Remodel Construction.

I got the panicked call from my contractor during the first day of construction regarding the mould. The crew was called off the site until i could get it resolved. I called a number of companies on homestars and generally got a bunch of fear mongering contractors, trying to get me to agree to spend between 3500-5000 without even coming out to look at the job. Speaking to Dave was the opposite. He reassured me that it was all manageable and went out to see the job that afternoon. The quote was a fraction of the competitors' and the work was scheduled for later that week. The work was completed efficiently and aside from one minor glitch that was promptly addressed by Robert, everything was perfect. Communication with Dave and Robert was excellent and I felt like i was in good hands all the way through. I will absolutely be using these guys again on an exclusive basis. Environmental remediation is a bit of black box to typical homeowners so working with people you trust and that are looking out for your best interests is critical. Thanks for the great work, guys.

I first met Rick when he and a colleague drywalled a basement apt for me about 5 years ago. It was freshly framed but still finicky and they did it in less than a day. Sounded like the end of the world down there but it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing and there were no wasted movements. I recently had them do a much trickier job matching new drywall to old lath and plaster in a new addition. The amount of work and precision involved was incredible and they still got it done in less than a day (4 guys this time). He refused to cut corners and bury anything behind the walls he was putting up (adding some insulation and tuck tape as he saw fit). Prices are very reasonable for what you're getting and Rick is a gem to deal with. Always picks up the phone or answers texts/emails within a day. He also starts bright and early and he left my space very clean which was appreciated by the tenant up there. I will look to use this company for both residential and commercial projects going forward. Thanks, Rick.

I picked this company after meeting Alan and getting strong assurance that the service didn't end once the cameras were installed. the team was quick to get the cameras up and running and equally quick to take my money. as soon as they were paid the level of service dropped off and i had the chase them to help me work the software even when i had the police looking for footage. when they decide to call back after weeks of trying to track them down they don't have time or are not in front of a computer to be able to help out. in addition, the quality of the footage and replay functions are so poor that the cameras are essentially worthless. this is a real amateur business but the real joke is on me for buying their sales pitch. be warned.

After some great work the week before I had Khem and crew come back to rough in a 2-piece bathroom in our basement. After some excavation is was quickly determined that since we were already breaking concrete it would be best to replace drain pipes and the stack as well to prevent problems in the future. Though adverse to scope creep, I trust Khem's judgement and am thrilled with the results. Basement was spotless when i returned with concrete poured smooth and level. The total job was completed within the timeline provided and on budget. Along the way I requested some changes that required laying drains twice. Khem and crew were quick to comply without any fuss and no additional charges were levied. Once again, Everest proves to be very reliable and professional in all plumbing and drain needs. Thanks for the help on such short notice, Khem.

Second time i've used khem and he continued to surpass all expectations. i was prepared to be ripped off given my basement was starting to flood with sewage and i was desperate, but khem came was so very reasonable, didn't give up and gave it everything he had until the problem was solved. He is my go - to plumber going forward.

Alex and his team have removed knob and tube for me on 3 properties so far and I can’t see myself using another company in the future. The first phone call we made after signing the P&S agreement on the house was to Alex to check his availability to do the job. As usual he made time right when we needed him and was engaged all the way through. It's important to note that this wasn't the least expensive quote, but when I’ve hired someone else for knob and tube removals in the past, I inevitably need to bring in Mapleleaf to finish the job right. It ends up being more affordable and less stressful to just book these guys from the start. For small jobs Alex provides the services of various electricians on his team to make sure the customer’s needs are met in a timely fashion while also keeping the costs down. For this job I had Sean, Daniella, Devin, Tyler, Ken, Andrew and Alex working on the house over a 7 day span. They met deadlines, minimized holes/mess, and were patient in making small adjustments on the fly. Sean installed extra fixtures and a vent fan and also spent a morning cleaning up the house. Each morning I came over, the team was clear in describing the process to date and the game plan going forward. They were always professional and clearly had good work ethics given the tight turn-around. Thanks for the expertise, Mapleleaf.

Saw Mr. Rooter on HGTV and read the great reviews on this site. Had a leak on the ground floor that occurred only when using the plumbing on the third floor (not the second floor). Called in this company expecting that they'd have the experience and equipment to identify the problem quickly, so they could give me a quote for a fix. I was flustered by it and would have accepted any quote on the spot. Instead, George said that a full diagnostic was required for a $180 charge. If he had to cut a hole in the drywall that would be another $90. I understood that my explanation of the problem wasn't sufficient but he could have figured out the location of the leak by flushing 2 toilets. Instead, he spent 1.5 hours of his time and mine (I had to help of course) identifying that the leak was exactly where it was first identified. The bathroom on the ground floor was also left a sopping mess for which I apologized to the tenant. After this point George turns to me and says he can fix the leak for $1400-$1700 if i open the wall for him. This price dwindled to about $600 after about 30 seconds (this was the minimum charge for a ‘best case scenario’ situation). He did reference his pricing book during this time. Had George come in and provided the expertise and professionalism to fix the problem for even $2000 I would have hired him on the spot. But instead I felt like my time was being wasted, that my input wasn’t valid, and that I was being nickled and dimed. So I paid the $180 and thanked him for his time. The fix eventually involved 2 hours to open the wall section and a $6 rubber cap.

The previous owners of the house had used Fabrizi prior to my purchase. When calling to see if they would honour the warrantee under new ownership I was pleased with the genuine confidence in their workmanship. I had them in to quote on various jobs and was pleased at the care they took to ensure i was getting what I asked for. Speaking with their staff I learned that many had been doing roofs with them for over 15 years which gave me confidence that this company knew how to hold on to good trades and also knew how to please customers in order to stay in business. At the end they built me a beautiful deck off the 3rd storey of my house as well as re-shingling half the roof and installing a new skylight. Cinzia was quick to return calls and emails and her Dad was excellent at making sure I knew what was happening throughout the process. The Fabrizi team are consumate professionals and I know they will stand behind their work as they did need to come back to finsh a few things off. They always left the jobsite clean and respected the neighbours by protecting siding and being noise conscious. I enjoy recommending them to family and friends as they make me look good! Thanks Cinzia and Robert. I'm looking forward to our next project together.

The quote I got from Paul was the highest of the 4 but I was swayed by his knowledge, pleasant demeanor, and promptness. When the day came to do the job he had to delay due to another more pressing matter but he stayed with me and found a day shortly after that worked for us both. On the work day he was early and his staff were prompt. The extra that was paid for his services was made up in his creativity and problem solving skills. He even comes up with solutions before you articulate the problem. He also remedies issues you didn't know were issues until you see what he's done. Since I couldn't be at home, I also got play by plays on my cell and he made sure to ask questions rather than make assumptions about what I wanted. Paul is a consumate pro and a pleasure to work with.

Paul came over to clean out my ducts as I had recently done two major renovations. He told me that before he starts any job he likes to do an inspection to ensure that the job is required. After explaining how the system works and how he's going to clean it out, he took off some pannels on the return vent in the furnace room and inspected the inside. He asked me to do the same. He also inspected vents on the ground and 3rd floor and determined that it wasn't worth my money to have the system cleaned yet. Instead he recommended I use my shop vac and call again in a few years time. He also gave me tips on how to resolve my low air flow problem and then disinfected the system. He wasn't over for more than 25 min but in the end all he asked was that I make a donation to some cause that is close to me. Professionals like Paul are hard to find. Honest people who love their work and offer fair prices to everyone deserve to be promoted. Thanks, Paul.

Hey Rushad, thanks for taking time out of your schedule to write a review about your recent experience with me. I try and run an honest and professional company, so thank you for the kind comments. When a job is required, we do the best possible job we can. When a job doesn't really need to be done, we don't do it. Simple as that. People appreciate the honesty, and unfortunatly there are a lot of companies out there that take advantage of its customers. Thanks again for helping with a charity donation, and keep me in mind in a few years when you may need this kind of work to be done. All the best. Paul
