I recently received advice from the kind gentleman from ICI paints in Brockville. I followed his instruction and the project turned out perfectly. I stripped cupboards of extra melamine decorative pieces (the cupboards are all melamine). Washed the cupboards thoroughly Sanded extra glue off with a demel tool Filled in old holes with normal mud Primed with Bulls Eye primers (multi surface) Pained with New CIL paint for melamine cupboards (new product!) Everything looks perfect ? and 1 million times better! Total the new hardware and paint cost about $200 (maybe a little less) .. much more cost effective than replacing the cabinet door which I estimated to be $99/each and i had 30 doors! Myself and husband found hardwood at the Brockville Home Depot, the sale cost was $2.69 - it was good quality Cherry Birch HARDWOOD flooring (sizes I am not sure about fairly wide 3inches or so?). They only had 4 boxes with 25.69 sq. ft.. They looked in their database and found that Gloucester had 41 additional boxes. We needed 37 boxes (950 sq. feet) – We he arrived it turned out that the actual price was much less than we had expected (the original company was bought out by another company – therefore all the packaging would need to be replaced going forward – all their stock was being liquidated). The price was not advertised on the floor of the store. It turned out that we paid $1552.00 for 950 sq. feet for good quality hardwood! (We paid $1.63 including tax per square foot – I felt like I won the lottery for days!).

We ordered 5 large casement windows a month ago, and were extremely pleased with the serve, quality and price of the product we received. They pricing was slightly lower than all local companies, even Lowes in the US. They also informed us of additional upgrades and products that we could purchase, and delivered it all to our door (a half an hour away). In total we ended up paying less than expected! Which is an extremely rare with home renovations.
