2/10

We had our roof installed in 2012 by Guns N Hoses and have had nothing but problems and concerns since. They made multiple mistakes on our roof and when approached and questioned, seem to turn a blind eye. Guns N Hoses is not a premium roofing company. They will meet minimum requirements only to avoid being accountable. Do not be fooled by their pricing. It seems they like to undercut their competitors to earn your business but will not be available should you have future concerns. Let us be the guinea pig for your home. Learn from our mistake and chose a different company. For the price difference of a few thousand dollars, peace of mind is far more important

Company Response

Hi MT, Thank you for taking the time to post your review. As I mentioned in my email to you earlier this week, we are truly sorry for all the stress that your ice damming has caused you and your family. We have spent a great deal of time and money trying to make things right with your family and to make you happy. We have not turned a blind eye at all. As a matter of fact, we installed and paid for your entire attic insulation upgrade to help with your ice damming problem, we also paid to upgrade your venting to add ridge vent to your roof to increase even more ventilation to also help with your ice damming problem, and additionally we offered to replace the eaves that were damaged when the ice was removed from your roof.

We did take accountability for not cutting your vent holes bigger than what was previously on your roof when we redid your roof, and we fixed that as well. We were even there removing ice and snow from your roof this winter at no charge. We have been back to your home numerous times, even after being told by you that "Guns N Hoses including any and all of their affiliates and employees will no longer have the privilege of working on our home".

Anyone that has received an estimate from Guns N Hoses and other reputable roofing companies will know that we don't undercut our competitors to earn business. We are usually right in the middle when it comes to price. If we were to undercut our competitors, we would not be in business for over a decade, as 71% of our business is from referrals and repeat clients.

And you are correct, for the price difference of a few thousand dollars, peace of mind is far more important than hiring someone who does not have an established business and undercuts everyone because the companies that undercut everyone else will not be in business when you need their help in the future. Thanks again for your time.
