What can we say, from the initial call to Alfie from Ultra Stone, we knew we were in good hands. Alfie and Ultra Stone was referred to us by a close family friend who had also worked closely with the team with their home and kitchen renovations. We trusted the feedback we received from our friend and after reviewing and meeting with a number of Fabricators and Countertop installers, we met with Alfie. He was different in his approach and how he showcased the options we could use for our countertops. He also provided us with a ranking on what types, textures and colours would work well with the vision we had for our kitchen. We also wanted to do some minor structural changes, one key one was to level our breakfast bar to be counter height, and remove and replace our tumbled marble backsplash. Rather than simply sending another contractor our way, he took the time to explain how we could make the changes ourselves and save money and even offered to provide support and tips on how to do the work ourselves and save money! When it came to selecting the quartz, Alfie took the time to explain the benefits of the various companies we were looking at and shared his top ones. He also gave us insight into the differences between made overseas and Canadian made (we went with Hanstone Montauk) and absolutely love it!!! The appointments were booked after we finished tile installations and Alfie and his team came in and did the installations of the counters over a period of two days. Our sinks we selected were too small so he graciously worked with his vendor to exchange them for a very nominal cost (we weren't thrilled about this, but c'est la vie). The bathroom counters and kitchen counters look amazing and the kitchen is super functional! Nak came to install the backsplash a week later and even helped my husband install the new hood fan which was a super help! finally, we found a few spots that we weren't able to clean a couple weeks after installation and Alfie was quick to respond and they came right before the holidays to help make sure our kitchen counters were spotless! Overall I would highly recommend UltraStone as they are thorough, true to their word and provide a fabulous end-to-end experience within a realistic budget.
