My 17 year old air conditioner stopped working on the 5th of August. I called Plumbing Expert at 9:00 AM and a service technician was looking at my system at 10:00 AM. After examining the system and taking into account the age of the system he explained to me that the A/C was not fixable, and further, that the furnace was on it's last legs. I am a professional engineer and I agreed with the conclusion. I ordered both a furnace and A/C. The new A/C was installed and working on August 13. The previous A/C had been installed with an incorrect sized drain hose so they returned on August 16 and completed the furnace installation. Everyone at Plumbing Expert that I came in contact with was professional and efficient. My home was left clean and all remnants of the old systems were gone. I was always kept informed about the progress of the order and the installation. Because I had prior positive experience with this company, I did not shop around for prices from competitors.

I contracted Bryan's Fuels to install a new water heater (to replace an overpriced rental). They showed up on time, with the right product, and had it installed in about three hours. The installers cleaned up as they left and moved the rental unit to the garage as I requested. I few days later I noticed a problem with the installation and I called the company to complain. They sent an experienced installer immediatly and the problems were resolved the same day. The second installer completly checked the work of the first team, and left me with confidence that the water heater will work properly and safely. Mistakes happen, and when they do. this company takes it seriously. They apologised for the errors made and then made it right. I would use the services of Bryan's Fuels again without hesitation.

I had a problem when I moved into a 7 year old house. The insulation in the basement was practically useless, so I researched the problem in magazines and on line. I decided that spray foam was the answer. I received five quotations out of seven requests. Floyd Clark of Foam Rise Insulation was first to reply and appeared at my door within 2 days of my request. He was very professional during the quotation process, and gave me some useful advice to follow for the preparation of the basement for the foam. It took another two weeks to get the other quotes together and I decided to accept Floyd’s offer. The quote from Foam Rise was not the least expensive nor the most expensive. I chose Floyd to do the job because he convinced me that he was experienced with the product, and because the references that he provided checked out with very good recommendations. I was also impressed with the fact that the person giving the quote is also the person doing the job. Floyd agreed to fit my job into an already busy schedule. He showed up on time with an experienced helper. The job took a full day to complete. He did a thorough job and ensured that no spots were missed. I was checking the depth of spray throughout the day and with few exceptions the foam was thicker than requested. He sprayed a small area that was not part of the original quote and there was no extra charge. I paid the exact amount quoted and received everything I expected and then some. I am very happy with the results, and I recommend Floyd and his product for this application.

Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
framing should be done before the foam is applied
