G.H. Johnson's is an absolutely huge warehouse full of treasures both modern and traditional. They have a great selection of furniture for all areas of the home, including a small selection of kids' furniture. From what I hear, many home stagers use this place as their go-to when looking for pieces for clients' as do prop rental companies. The basement is full of final sale finds so be sure to make the trip downstairs. The sales staff are all very seasoned and professional making the experience stress free. Adjacent to G.H. Johnson's is a fabulous art gallery which is an added bonus. And yes, parking is free!

EQ3 is a great store if you're looking for modern pieces at a reasonable price point. While many of their regular priced items can seem expensive relative to the quality, they often have sales which can result in significant savings. Definitely worth checking this place out in your quest for the perfect piece in any room.

Absolutely amazing place. Great service, great quality and very affordable price points. We have shopped at both the Beaches and North York locations with a good experience each time. The pieces we purchased from Structube have received many compliments. We also purchased a desk which didn't quite work the way we wanted it to so we ended up returning the item with no hassle even though the item was opened. I would definitely buy from them again.

Not sure what all the hype is about when it comes to West Elm. They have a simple design aesthetic and lots of items for a neutral palette. Their accent pieces lack colour and the store itself is always in utter chaos with not enough trained staff to go around. Price points are good for some items and completely overpriced for other. My advice is to know what you're looking for, know the comparables and be prepared to help yourself.

The folks at A Special Place are knowledgeable with a little bit of attitude. Being interior designers themselves, I find them to be snooty particularly when you're looking to buy individual pieces (like I did) versus commission them for full interior design help. The service I received was adequate but beware they can be 'pushy' so just know what you're getting into.

We have purchased several lights from this company and have been impressed with their selection and knowledge about lighting. The dining room light that we purchased has received many compliments and is truly a showpiece in our home. I have found some of their lower end fixtures at the big box stores at a lower price point so be sure you look around before buying but know that they are a great alternative when you want something a little different.

We've used these guys twice. Both times were for the installation of a gas line for an outdoor BBQ in two different homes. They were fast, professional and very reasonably priced. They also took the time to explain the hook-up that was done and the safety mechanisms in place. I would definitely recommend this company and will be calling them myself in the future.

While their prices seem good at first, you'll quickly realize where the cost savings comes from, lack of customer service and complete disregard for customer satisfaction. We purchased a good quantity of laminate flooring for our basement. While our estimate for the floor was within reason, we fell short on some threshold pieces. Within the month we tried ordering more of the same only to find out their manufacturer changes the colour with every run they do and to find an exact match would be impossible. Instead of working with me to try and come up with a solution, they simply said there was nothing they could do. Buyer beware I suppose.

Sasha and the team are very knowledgeable in their trade. They are quickly able to assess the situation and give you a range of options to suit your needs and wallets. Our job was completed in one day with a full check of our HVAC system prior to their departure. In the event of problems, one call gets them to your house within a day. Would highly recommend again.

Robert and the team are a great group of professionals who really know the Leaside area. They can give you the run down on what problems to expect with homes in the neighbourhood and make suggestions that what repairs are necessary vs. "nice-to-do". I would definitely hire them again!

The staff at Ciot Habitat are very knowledgeable. As specalists in stone, the staff are quickly able to gauge what you're looking for, and help you navigate the many aisles in the warehouse. Though pricey, they know their stuff and deliver a wonderful product.

Antica Tile & Stone has a small but good selection of designer tiles. They have lots of natural stone and glass options, as well as custom and ready made mosaics which make for a fabulous entryway statement. Custom orders can take some time but be sure to call before your 'ready' date as they tend to be ready early.

We came across Evan's company while searching for a contractor to clean-up the overgrowth in our backyard. As a landscaper and arborist, Evan was able to come to our home, give us recommendations on what we should remove vs. keep and perform the job quickly and at a very reasonable cost. Since that job we've also used him on two more occasions at my dad's house of large tree removal. Even runs a great company and I would highly recommend him!

These guys showed up on time and did a good job cleaning the ducts and all returns throughout the house. However, they made quite a few recommendations for 'extras' which seemed unnecessary i.e. UV air filtration, changing filters that were less than 3 months old, a more efficient furnace despite the fact that we changed it less than a year prior. While the job seemed good I was skeptical of everything else.

Fantastic service from a group of professionals who really know their stuff! They showed up on time, came in slightly under budget, made honest recommendations and fully guaranteed their work. I will definitely book these guys again and would gladly recommend them to anyone looking to get their driveway sealed.

Three college aged kids showed up an hour late to the scheduled time. Before starting, they proceeded to have a competition to see who could run and jump on top of my roof. This stunt caused the paint on my eavestroughs to chip and left dents in the metal. Needless to say, I stopped them as soon as I realized what had happened and called to complain. Finally after two months of calling and calling, someone from College Pro Painters came to repaint the chipped area and nothing was done about the dents. Definitely do not hire this company.
