My elderly parents had moved into their new home and needed a hand railing to manage the three steps at their front porch. Oleg came to home and took his measurements and came up with a design for a customized metal framed railing. He completed the installation on time, as promised. I hired Speers Flooring to install 4-1/4" dark vintage hickory wood and baseboards for my senior parents who recently moved into their new home in Burlington. Everyone from Dani in store sales, Nathan to hauling old carpets out, Nick the installer and Peter the owner where great to deal with throughout the process. I hired Andrew McCarthy from In View Home Inspections to inspect my elderly parents that they had put an offer on a preowned home in Burlington. Andrew spent nearly four hours throughly reviewing the home both inside and outside. He provided a detailed inspection report which allowed us to provide a copy to the owner so they could fix the defects that Andrew found. After finding a small water leak in our basement, we called CAP Waterproofing to see the leak problem and provide a permanent solution. Cyril and his team were very efficient and nice to deal with. They completed the work on the day we agreed without any issues. They cleaned the site before they left. Back last year in May 2021, I had Dmitri and his team remove and install two new garage doors. Also, they provided aluminum capping around garage doors. After receiving several quotes, we decided to go with Newfoundland Roofers. Andrew provided a detailed quote and told us what extras where included in his service(IE. Re-caulk all wall flashings and chimney, clean out eavestrough/spray corners for leaks etc). He completed the job in a day back in May 2020 as he promised at our agreed price. His team was nice and cleaned the worksite when work was completed. Andrew even came by a few weeks ago, after a major wind storm hit Oakville to check on our shingles. Wow great service goes on! We found Peter the salesperson helpful in the selection process. Pricing was not the lowest and believed the service/warranty would make up the difference. We found it did not. We noticed after about three months our dining room showed signs of water leak that lead to our basement. Our plumber arrrived and confirmed that the slow leak was caused by a nail used to install the baseboards by AA Floors. Only after leaving several messages of our concerns, we received a call back from Peter. He at first said he would come to our house to investigate, but later said he would not and his company was not responsible for the leak. We asked to speak to the owner Ross, but Peter said he would not call us back since if was not his companys fault. This summer we had a contractor renovate our upstairs washroom and he showed us the nail that caused the leak which reminded us to post our review. We've had the pleasure to review other companies, and provided good reviews, AA Floors not one of them. Buyer beware.
