George was able to fix what two other plumbers could not. Very impressed and added his name and contact information for future reference. I will make sure to pass on the word to family and friends.

A few weeks ago I took my drapes to Sketchley Cleaners. Like with most specialty items I had to sign a waiver. When they were returned to me the following damage was done. 1. The stitching came out at the top pleats 2. The stiching along the sides were all ripped open 3. Most of the rings (to put on a rod) were ripped out 4. The red stripes were faded 5. The drapes were at least 5 inches shorter than when I took them in. After contacting the owner I was asked to return the panels. He had the stitching fixed (why that would fall apart is beyond me) and said he would "stretch" them back to the original lengths. Unfortunately they are still about 2-3 inches short and obviously the red stripes are still faded. I contacted the owner again and he is now washing his hands. I could still use them. Really ? Faded colour and 2-3 inches too short. These panels were custom made, over length silk panels with lining and cost me a few years ago over $ 600.00. And obviously pus the money I paid to have them destroyed at Skechley's. If nothing else, this should be a warning to others to be very careful when signing the waiver. When in the store it was minimized to "don't worry, nothing ever happens, it's just a formality". Now that they are destroyed, the answer is "you signed the waiver". I went back to Goemans earlier this year since I got excellent service when I bought my dishwasher. I put $ 500 down for a preliminary inspection. The person that called me was very rude and I asked to be service by somebody else. When I was ready for the person to come (I was away for a few weeks) it took 4 emails for somebody to contact me. I was available between 10 and 2 and we settled for 1.30. He called at 11.45 to tell me he could only come at 3 or in the evening. Obviously that did not work for me. I told him to call me when he has time. Never heard back. At the same time I called their service centre . One person never called back, the other one was not very nice and when we asked for her manager shee said she did not have one. (???) I then sent emails to every manager I could find (on their website) and to Tony Goemans (owner). That was over a week ago, nobody responded. I put a message on their FB page, they responded, and so did I. Right after that my comments were deleted and they blocked me from their site. I could easily repost everything over again (different name, very easily done) since I have copies of the communications, but life is too short. All I wanted was for them to make things right. I was not about to go anywhere else since I really liked what I had chosen. The salesperson refunded the $ 500 happily, I think they were glad to get rid of us. And he knows we are in the market for a subzero fridge ( about 12 K).....Talk about throwing good money after bad money. The one thing that bothers me the most is that I have to start my search all over again......

While repairing my thermostate, repair person broke freezer drawer on a $ 5000 fridge. (No idea why he ripped it out) . Reid's is washing their hands .Small claims court is next. Better Business Bureau that referred me to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs (which whom I am workimg now) has an "F" rating for this company.

Thank you so much for the marble rifinishing kit. After having used the wrong product in an area on my brand new marble floor I was devistated. The marble kit worked great. A little labour intensive but worth every dime, considering that my other option would have been to pay to get 700 square foot refinisheed. Great Customer service

Best experience shopping for appliances in my life. Michael in Kitchener was extremly knowledgebale (once i convinced him that F &P actually has a DW lower than 34 inches). Pricning was good, follow up great no issue at any time throughout the process. I received numerous phone calls keeping me updated on delivery dates and time. I rarely write reviews but this is worth the effort. Human nature makes people more prone to complain instead of giving credit. I am in real estate and from now on forward will recommend this store to all my clients. I actually went to another local store before but the staff there knew a lot less than I did , so I walked. Installation was a bit tricky since we thought it was a diret connection but it needed an outlet. No big deal at the endof theday (jsut a trip to Home Depot). All is weel. Thanks Geomans and Michael. We will be back for sure. Sabine
