Putting in new floors in a rental in my house. Rona had the cheapest price on bamboo, but we found some better bamboo in previously opened boxes, marked down to a low price. Unfortunately, we couldn't find enough of it. A Rona staff person came by, did an extensive search but couldn't find more either. He recommended a similar, more expensived coloured bamboo, but it was out of my price range. He then offered the new bamboo to us at the same price as the marked down bamboo! Wow. This guy not only gave us his time for a good 15 minutes or so,he also saved me a couple of hundred dollars, without haggling or bargaining. I'll take that kind of service in a big box store anyday.
New View did an excellent job on my old house. It has some windows in awkward places that have never been cleaned (to my knowledge)and now they are crystal clear. Everybody at New View was professional, courteous and hard-working. I'm very pleased.
I needed to replace a faulty gas stove in one of my apartments recently. Finding odd-sized appliances can be a pain sometimes, but I called up Royal and they had what I needed. Not having done business with them before, I didn't know what to expect. They had a model that was suitable with a fair price, but needed some repair. We shook hands on the price, and a week later it was delivered to my house, installed in the apartment and the old one was taken away. It's not a fancy place, but who cares? The product I got is clean and functional, the guys were honest and professional and I'd go back anytime.
