With large trees on our property, I knew that eventually we would likely have a back up related to root infiltration. That day came this fall. DrainWorks camera inspection revealed an initial large blockage, and we started what became a several day long process. Holes dug in the basement and the driveway and tunnelling (or pipebursting) under the furnace to get to the main drain connections in the basement. Once inside, of course it became evident that everything had to be replaced. The beauty of the equipment they use is that you can see clearly what the issues are, and don`t feel you are being oversold. Your hand is held through this process by the man with the camera equipment--in our case Mike Dunn. Although he must have to explain the mechanics of drain systems, options and potential worst case scenarios over and over to worried home owners, I never had the feeling that he was bored or frustrated by my many questions. (I gather that the company encourages them to spend as much time as required going over the details so that the customer understands, rather than pressing them to move on to the next job as soon as possible). I has similar experiences with supervisory personnel I came into contact with. Although my job was an expensive one, (a crew of three in my basement for 3 days!), Mike saved me more expense in future by carefully going over the camera inspection one last time after the work was done. Your basement turned into a war zone of trenches and piles of dirt, so it also seems like a miracle that the floor is eventually smooth again, and that the workers clean up well, including washing all the floors before leaving.

We had a number of different issues that needed attention, including some tuckpointing and re-cementing of our front flagstone steps. We also had cracking in cement walls lining our driveway and some deteriorating brick pillars that needed a fix that was not going to break the bank. Dave came up with a solution. Dave Bissinger impressed me with his knowledge, thoroughness, and attention customer service. We were always kept in the loop, and they came as expected. When we had aa minor follow up issue that needed attention after the work had been done and paid for, he sent someone to fix it as a matter of course. Unfortunately he does not deal with interlock issues! Highly recommended.

This is the second time I have used Convertible. In this case we were replacing furnace and air conditioner, plus humidifier, chimney liner. Up front service, including proper paperwork for grant applications, and installation were excellent. Marnie also pointed out that our venting for our gas water heater did not meet code requirements (no chimney liner) so that was added to the work. The fellows finished the job in one day though it took them til mid evening to complete it. We bought 'brand name' equipment from American Standard, including a furnace with a 95% efficiency rating. Several thousand cheaper than the Lennox quote we got, and with good warranty. Convertilbe also offers parts and labour service for 10 years if you have them do your annual maintenance. Any why wouldn't you? So far, no issues with the equipment, tho the A/C has yet to be tested.

I read the very negative review of Prevost Roofing and was very surprised. I had him replace two roofs for me on different properties, a few years apart, and got good fast service with no shenanigans both times. (the most recent was likely in 2004 or 05) I thought the workmanship was good too, and in fact have recommended him to friends since. Marcel should be encouraged to respond to the negative review.

It was hard to find someone who would clean out a catch basin at the bottom of a residential driveway. They came and did the job after a re-scheduling or two, (truck in the shop, rain delay) but the delays were not onerous and they eventually came as promised and did the job.

The estimate appointment was kept, and the estimate was detailed. Kelly's was very accomodating when I needed to re-schedule the work I had asked them to do. The work was professionally and thoroughly done and the staff are knowledgeable and professional.
