After occasionally hearing loud chirping noises through the ceiling/outer wall of our home for some weeks and writing it off every time I finally saw what was going on. A family of birds had moved into a small sheltered ledge that wasn't visible from the ground under our roof soffit but I could see them flying in and out. I couldn't believe there was enough room for a nest up there as we have no attic but that's what was happening. A bit of quick searching for a suitable service that humanely handles wildlife (including importantly birds) I came to the logical conclusion that Gates Wildlife Control was the right company for the job. I called on a Sunday afternoon and left a message describing my situation and was contacted a short while later to setup the appointment the following day. Joel, the technician who came out to do the work was very friendly and was able to carefully remove the nest (no eggs/chicks at that point - they'd left already) and seal up the area that they had used for shelter. He also proactively identified and sealed up some other areas of concern around the roof and soffits which I appreciated. Everything was handled quickly and professionally and I am very happy with the service. If I ever have another wildlife problem I know who to call.

Several of the mechanisms that retains the windows in the sash and also allows it to tip into the room for cleaning had broken on our Window City Hung Vinyl Windows that we had purchased through a dealer back in 2012. Unfortunately the dealer was no longer in business and after contacting Window City's service department and explaining my situation, I was offered two choices: 1. I could order the required number of latches and they would be sent to me at my expense (a nominal cost for parts & shipping) or 2 . If I could come into their head office, I would be given the parts at no cost. Since I don't live that far from their facility I chose to stop by one afternoon and was able to pickup the parts I needed. The installation of the new (updated) latch mechanism was explained to me by the service manager and I was quickly on my way. Installation of the new parts was as described and now my windows are working like new! I was skeptical about after sales service from the manufacturer before my interaction but would not hesitate to recommend them to others or use their products again.

First off I have given this a full year before writing the review to see how things would make it through the winter and everything still looks as good as new! Our property shares a private lane with three other homes and was in dire need or repaving. I had several companies come out to quote on the job but West York was by far the best to deal with. Joe and his team are wonderful to deal with and I would agree with the other reviewer's description of watching the crew work was like watching a ballet of men and machines.

This is the third time we've called upon Cozy World for our heating and cooling needs. Previously we've had them install a Honeywell humidifier on our Goodman furnace (which was actually installed by them for the previous owners of our home) and during our first summer in our place we had them install a central air conditioner which the previous owner had opted not to purchase. This air conditioner worked great for about two summers but by the end of last summer it started misbehaving - tripping the circuit breaker occasionally and not cooling properly. This summer it gave up altogether. After a thorough and detailed diagnosis, Fred the field technician reported sadly the news that the compressor had failed - apparently a design flaw on that model but would be replaced in warranty. The warranty work was done promptly and around our live/work schedule but the result was less than satisfactory - not the work mind you - the replacement part also failed within a day or two of replacement through no fault of the installer as these were warranty approved parts provided by the manufacturer and were installed in accordance with their replacement procedure. Reporting the failure of the replacement part to the owner of Cozy World, Boris & Fred generously arranged to replace the entire condenser unit with a new system for a fraction of the cost as I had already spent a considerable amount on the labour for the previous units repair. Again, this unit was installed in a timely fashion with no trace of installation left behind. All manuals and warranty were left for me and the unit was electronically registered with the manufacturer for warranty service the same day it was installed - I received the e-mail confirmation directly from the manufacturer the very same day. We are very happy with the performance of the new cooling system. Final thoughts: Cozy World's prices are excellent but more importantly their customer service is unsurpassed - they honestly care about their customers experience and satisfaction and will go to great lengths to ensure a positive outcome. We will continue to use their services and recommend them to our friends and family.

Like many here I found Cozy World through this site and it's many good reviews. Only after speaking with Boris on the phone and giving him our address did he realise that he had done work for the previous owner (see 1st Homestars review from "Rob" - same house!). I had quotes from other companies for a new A/C system but Boris was the most reasonable and addressed all my questions and concerns. We have been very satisfied with the products and the level of service from the install team. Efficient, friendly and reliable. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.
