Elite Tree Care removed a 2.5 ton "weed tree" in the corner of our back yard. It was a beautiful Norway Maple with multiple trunks but it had become unhealthy and unsafe. Our experience with Elite from start to finish was top-notch. After noting the work they had done for two of our neighbours, we called them on a Friday and their arborist came out the next business day to assess the tree and some other work we needed done. Wenda took the time to answer all our questions and discuss next steps in detail. Going forward, Elite handled everything smoothly, efficiently and professionally, including the City permit application process. They gave us a clear picture of what to expect and the timelines involved, and nailed it. Everything was done on time and exactly as detailed in the quote. The crew arrived on schedule the day of the operation. Watching Riley and his crew take the tree down was fascinating and impressive. The process required expertise and strategic manoeuvring to avoid damaging property – ours and our neighbours'. Everything -- removing the tree, grinding out the stump, removing a smaller tree and stump and pruning back several other trees -- took approximately 6 hours on a very hot, humid day. The crew of 5 operated like a finely tuned machine, endlessly rotating between pruning, cutting, roping, hauling and chewing up tree limbs. Throughout the day, they were always available to talk to us, providing detailed explanations of steps they were taking, giving advice on landscaping, etc. They were respectful of our property and of our neighbours’. They cleaned up all debris, leaving our yard and driveway neat and tidy, minus one large tree. We were very happy with Elite’s work and pleasantly surprised at how easy the whole experience turned out to be – for us. Thank you, Kris, Riley, Wenda and crew.
