(Edited to remove anonymity) Unknown cost of repairs was the reason we waited 4 months to make the call to have someone diagnose the problem of a garage door not opening even though the motor was running. Found Markham Garage online, but hesitated, due to concerns that we may need to replace the whole system. Decided to fill out the online service request finally and got a call from Kevin the very next day. When I described the problem, he told me right away what was needed, and what the cost would be, yet I was skeptical. However, when Ryan A came and replaced the gear assembly in half an hour, our 25 year old system was like new. He even found the problem for the wall mount control not working - a loose wire. For a few years, we thought we would have to replace the whole system. We found Ryan to be friendly, personable, efficient and knowledgeable and he answered any questions I had. We were also able to get another transmitter compatible with our system. Thanks to Kevin and his team for this very affordable repair experience.

Thanks for the wonderful review. There are many garage door openers that have very few parts that fail and are very simple to repair. Unfortunately some companies don't want to fix old machines they just want to replace. We feel it's important that you are given all your options so you can do what is right for you!
