Goodbye pool in Mississauga

Back in the spring we required replacement of very old sewer pipes underground. We woke up one morning to the surprise of a smelly pool of sewage in the basement. DrainKing came at once and completed the necessary repairs in short order. It was all manual labour and the men worked hard both inside and dug a deep excavation outside. Some cleanup was needed after they left. We knew, too, that resurfacing parts of the floor would be up to us. Overall, we were pleased with job which was dine in four days and provides a 25 year warranty. But that's not the only story here. We knew we had insurance to cover part of the cost. We applied for this and soon after received some reimbursement. But it fell short of what our policy says we are entitled to. Enter our hero, Jason, the service manager. He was so diligent and untiring in his efforts for us! He contacted our insurer on our behalf to further explain our claim to them. He succeeded in obtaining the full amount stated in our policy, and it did take some time to finally achieve this. Bottom line: our final out-of-pocket expense for a high quality job was not that much at all. (Thank goodness for insurance!) Not only is he a contractor, but he has much experience in talking to and patiently negotiating with insurance companies. After 50+ years of use and enjoyment our concrete swimming pool was having serious issues with age and wear. Either a major rebuild, or complete removal was needed. Blue2Green made the latter option really easy and convenient. Michael visited us, quickly assessed the layout, and had a detailed contract in our hands the following day. Later, when his team came to us they were very organized and got to work early in the morning to efficiently break up the concrete, make literally dozens of short trips in from the street with fill, and take away old fence. The next day, they applied top soil and sod to the work area. Plywood laid on the ground ensured that no damage occurred from heavy machinery which came onto the property. Cleanup afterwards was thorough. They worked very hard and were careful every step of the way. The whole job took just 14 hours - they are an amazing crew, indeed! While we waited for them to be available, Joanne kept in touch with us regularly. Thanks for a fine job.
