In 2018 I contracted with Natl Waterproofing to do the west wall of my basement. The estimate was for $17,000.00 including tax. I proceeded with the work based on that estimate. The final bill was for $27,000.00! (I will gladly show you the paperwork.) This final bill was 60% over the estimate. 60%! There is no way most of us would absorb such a cost. I had no choice.
