Steven has been one of my favourite contractors to work with so far, he's extremely skilled and capable of designing and building anything that we could imagine, but also has a strong aesthetic sensibility to help us make subtle but difficult decisions. We had Steven design and build custom built-ins around our fireplace mantel, and a new mantel too. Everything was assembled immaculately, not to mention the workspace was completely cleaned after -- so rare! Steven was also extremely accommodating for changes and iteration. When we took apart our old mantel, we realized that we needed to rebuild the framing from scratch, and Steven consulted on how to best do that and worked with us to adjust the sizing of his mantel design to fit with the new framing that I put in. He kept his schedule flexible as we worked to prep our room for his install. Overall amazing experience, genuinely looking around the house now trying to think of more projects that we could use Black Forest Woodworking for!

This review is actually about two separate jobs combined into one. We liked working with Ilia so much that we went back to him again a year later. Ilia is very hands-on and attentive. His team replaced all of our house windows with modern well-insulated windows, and we added a floor-to-ceiling patio walkout. His pricing is extremely fair, especially for the quality we got. We talked to several window suppliers and they all have very similar inventory but Ilia was consistently the best to work with and offered the most competitive pricing. At one point we had some issues with a latch, and he came over immediately with his personal tool bag to try and fix it. When we couldn't get it working, he got the window manufacturer to come replace the entire mechanism. It's comforting to feel that if there are any surprises, Ilia will make it right! We've run out of windows to replace, but we'll definitely use Window Depot Canada again if we can.

We paid to replace our ancient lead water service line with a 1" copper line. Naz was great: He communicated very well and promptly, he broke down everything that needed to be done, and agreed to a very reasonable price for the work. His team showed up promptly at 9am, and they were done and cleaned up by 1pm. Everyone wore masks, they used a dropcloth to minimize dirt, and left everything cleaner than they found it. Also Naz took the time to consult on an unrelated project and talk to our neighbour. Will definitely be working with Canadian Rooter again, thank you!

Chris was great! Very prompt, professional, clean. Clearly he does this a lot, I was worried the antenna removal was going to be much harder but he made it look easy. He even helped out our neighbour while he was here. Thank you!

Ilia is an absolute gentleman, he worked with us to figure out exactly what we wanted and delivered it end to end. His installation team did a great job despite some really weird wall situations in our house. The windows are gorgeous, the quality is everything we dreamed of. Definitely sticking with these people for anything Window-related, maybe get our next exterior door from them too!
