He started the job without a requesting a deposit. Upon completion, he sent photos of his work. We arranged to meet for payment. I am very glad that I met Erion as he was as nice in person as he had been on the phone. He was very professional businessman and thoroughly guaranteed his work. Matt Gladwin from Sequoia TreeScape is very competent, professional and knowledgeable about plants. I asked for a quote to trim the cedar hedge. He responded quickly to come by and give me an estimate on the job. Later he gave me some time options where he could fit in the job. He and his associate arrived promptly, set up a safe working zone with traffic cones around the wood chipper and truck which were parked on the road. Both men wore proper work attire including helmets, ear protection, work boots. They did exactly what was quoted and a bit more. They went into the yards of my neighbors to ask permission to access my hedge from their side of the fence. The job was completed, and the clean up done in the amount of time quoted. No extra fees were sprung on me when the bill was given to me. They did a great job and I have already hired this company to come back and do some tree planting. Matt's associate smoked but he did not throw his cigarettebutt on my property. That is a big thumbs up as far as I am concerned.

The contractor for Student Works Painting was at the Markham Home Show scouting for summer business. I chatted with this nice, pleasant student and then realized that my garage doors required painting. It was overdue by a couple of years. I made an appointment for him to come over and give me a quote on the job. He arrived promptly at the specified time dressed appropriately for earning someone's business. He was professional in his explanation of what the job required,. He was very organized and gave me a written quote for three possible solutions to the painting of the doors. I chose one of the options. He was credible (I happen to know a thing or two about painting). The work is scheduled to be done at the completion of his school term. I feel good about helping a student who has take the initiative to head up a summer painting job.

I called Clarke Basement Systems twice to repair a leak in the foundation of my home. One repair was made from the outside. The work was done neatly, with all digging done in a neat way. The repair was done and no further leaks have sprung from that repair. All the earth was replaced frame where it came. The second time the repair needed to be done from inside. I have a completely finished basement so drywall, insulation, vapor barrier all had to b e removed. The repair was done. To my complete surprise, the workman, Claude, replaced the vapor barrier and insulation. Then he replaced the drywall all with new products. He even taped and muddled the joints and made the wall paint ready. He was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I had to call upon Clarke Basement Systems a third time for an unrelated leak. Claude came to my house and tried to find the location of the leak. It turned out to be a leaky plumbing pipe and not a leak in the basement wall. The service call was FREE, amazingly since the problem was not a leaky foundation wall.

Extremely expensive I had a small repair done and ended up with a bill for $800. The work was completed by two guys, mostly one did the work while the other watched. There would have been a house call charge but it was included in any work they did. Since I didn't want to call another plumber and pay another service call, I agreed to let them do the work. So expensive for about a half hour job. I got their name from the phone book and in their advertising it was indicated that this company had been one of the service companies used in a home Reno show. I considered that to be a good review so I called them when I needed a plumber. Never again! Too expensive!
