We just had our driveway replaced (West York) in combination with some stonework (through Bluestone Project). It was actually really tough to find a quality paving company that was willing to excavate first while the stonework was completed and then come back to pave. Most companies wanted to do a one and done - excavate and pave same day. After many quotes, our stonework companies texted me the pic of West Yorks sign on a job they were working on together. We called, Joe came out immediately, provided an immediate quote (pdf througb email with dimensions, details of work). They werent the cheapest but certainly werent the most expensive either. What sealed the deal was just the pure professionalism of dealing with Joe. He was communicative, clear, honest and we got exactly what he described. The crew yesterday came to finish the paving and they were first class. Our driveway is like glass. Many neighbours have stopped by to take pics of both West Yorks and Bluestones signs because of the quality of both jobs. Amazing company and guys to deal with. Thanks Joe and all the guys out yesterday!

We renovated our ensuite bathroom down to the studs. To rebuild the shower stall, we searched for a glass enclosure/sliding door. Searched long and hard but all the products we looked at were not quite right or seemingly flimsy in construction. We checked out Muti Kitchen and Bath in Oakville and came upon a gorgeous shower enclosure, by D&M Doors and More. D&M did all the measurements, worked with our contractors, and came back for the install - all professional, timely, considerate and amazing (Oral and Adam installers). The construction of this product is absolutely amazing and the price totally reasonable for the quality of it. We had one issue with the rubber "squeegee" partially peeling, and one phone call, the gentleman was out a few days later, a 10 minute repair and all warrantied. I asked about one other piece that seemed to be collecting some dirt and he replaced that as well as the design had been updated since we purchased originally. Amazing service. Amazing and stunningly beautiful product.

We were recommended to Speers Flooring by neighbours who had their main floor hardwood installed by them. While we shopped for different products, we did land with Speers because of the service we received from the moment of walking in the door, the explanations we received regarding the different products, pros/cons for each in bedroom (with a dog, etc) through to rescheduling through COVID shutdown and finally install. I have to say, the installation was impeccable and Tom, our installer, was absolutely meticulous. His workmanship is amazing and he really went over and above with little things (ensuring our cable was fed through the wall and behind the baseboard when it hadn't been previously, etc. The service quality instilled in the team by Vince and Peter is obvious.

This is the second time I've contracted with Matthew and his team for stonework done (different house this time). My first job with him was about 6 years ago and at that time, he finished my small front walkway in my townhouse - a job that 4 other contractors either refused to quote (too small) or gave me an outrageous quote (again, because it was too small....they didn't actually want to waste their time so priced the job 3x what it should be). I found Bluestone on Homestars and have since referred this company to ALL my friends in Glen Abbey (about 4 of whom have since had him do their jobs). Well, fast forward 7 years, I'm now in a new home, and just put a pool in.....and guess what.... I didn't even bother getting quotes from others as I knew there was nobody better than Matthew and Bluestone. He put in a 12x20 stone patio off the pool, a flagstone pathway from our gate to the pool area and finished down the whole side of the house with the same pavers as the patio. The work, as always, was first rate, completed quickly and I know, at about half the cost of what other companies would've charged. Matthew himself is honest, integrous and says it like it is. He will tell you straight up of all the ins and outs (e.g. for our patio, he was clear with us about the risk of heaving after the pool install while the ground settles....but he was honest and did what he could to mitigate that happening....so far, so good and it's still perfect). I trust this man like no other contractor I've ever had to work with .He actually recommended the flagstone as the pathway, and while I couldn't visualize, we went with it.....and it's stunning. I truly think a huge difference is that this is his own company and he is right there every day doing the work with his small crew. There is obvious pride in their work and a business ethic that other companies could take a lesson from. Our next project will be the front walkway, and there will only be one phone call made.....to Bluestone Project. If I could give more than 10 stars, I would.

Rob and his crew from Smart On-Ground Pools installed our pool in the summer of 2014. We havev a unique yard in that there was a large existing pond that presented some issues with respect to where to locate the pool for the best "hard bottom". Rob worked with us for several months leading up to the install to mark out the location, go over the challenges around the pond so we were fully informed, etc. What we love about Smart on Ground is that Rob (the owner) is right there every day working on the install, running the bobcat himself. It's not a large company that drops off a "crew" with no supervision. The owner is there on site, constantly, working with the crew, which ensures a great job - this is his company.....With his many years with Pioneer pools, he's an incredibly knowledgeable guy, and dropped in several times after the job was finished to address any of our concerns or explain the equipment. His wife Vicki took care of all our paperwork and dealing with the Oakville Town staff. and was alwways availble to answer any questions. The final product is amazing. We loved the pool for the few weeks we had it last summer. Our 2 weeks of "sta-cation" during the last two weeks of August were spent deckside with martinis and friends. It was fabulous. There's nothing like coming home from work in the summer and jumping into the pool. The salt system Rob uses is great - super easy to maintain the pool. So happy with our choice and can't wait for next summer.

Townhome neighbour and I had our driveways repaved by these clowns. My side of the driveway didn't have enough "slope" so they decided to build the driveway up by building a hump of ashphalt at the garage door. So, picture the trough that they created for a good 2-inch puddle of water to collect to either run into my garage OR once cold enough, to freeze a large chunk of ice to keep my garage door locked in ice for a 5 month period...the ONLY reason I'm giving these guys a 1 is because they agreed finally to repave my garage floor in order to raise it up to give the whole thing enough "slope". How this wasn't identified at the get-go, I'll never know. Because the garage floor was done post-driveway, I was assured that they would fix the ashphalt to not look like a patch job (since it was only 2 weeks old). It was a disaster - crumbling and looking all very much like a 2-bit patch job. Chris, of course, was there with his hand out for his $$. Stay away from this outfit.

Short and sweet, Brian and Bob are amazing. I've been using Bob to service my furnace and AC every year since moving to Oakville, on the referral of my real estate agent. I wouldn't consider ever using anyone else. They're fast, and effecient and above all, honest. They're work has always been stellar. Love these guys!

Scott from the Door Dudes helped me select a new window for my upstairs. Not knowing anything about windows, I had a number of people come to provide me information and quotes. Scott from Door Dudes was the only one that treated me with any respect and not like a child. They weren't the cheapest quote, but how I was treated made the difference. The install wasn't the best and I'd have liked a better job there, but overall, very happy with the process. They're now the first ones I've called for new front entry and patio doors.

Over last year and this, I have contacted 6 companies for an estimate to redo my interlock walkway in the front of my house. Of the 6, one gave me an absolutely outrageous quote that they never did justify (as to how it was EIGHT times the cost of their advertised price). Four others simply never called me back or seemed to fall off the face of the earth (job probably too small). It was through this site that I found Bluestone, based on the previous review. This company and Matthew are amazing. He came out the date after I called to view the job and provided me a quote by email the next day. The estimate was more than reasonable and I signed up. We scheduled a work date for the next week, but he ended up phoning a couple of nights before the scheduled date to see if they could do the job sooner. They came, did a fabulous job, including moving shrubs and removing trees. I totally appreciated Matthew's advice as to how to extend the walkway, design, brick, etc. I would recommend this company a thousand times over and have already sent out an email to all my friends and neighbours in Oakville letting them know......
