Called Mersey Heating and Air conditioning after reviewing their home star ratings to fix our air conditioner as our air conditioner was not cooling our house.Their receptionist was very professional and courteous , was able to fix an appointment quickly. The technician Mr. Resat arrived on May 31st and first discussed about his fee, then he showed me a card that had different colour coded fees, this card showed their repair fees ranging from $1,000 to $ 5,000 (making the repair cost expensive so that they can sell me a new Air conditioner) .Spent about half an hour to check the air conditioner and confirmed and provided in writing that "The compressor Failed, internal overload is open, and recommended that we get a new air conditioner. This technician went to the extend of pulling the fuse of the air conditioner. I mentioned to him that I have lived in many houses and have never experienced a 7 year air conditioners compressor fail and mentioned that there must be some kind of a warranty. Despite this a same day appointment was fixed to meet with a members of the sales team. Since I had my doubt I called another company for a second opinion. They checked the unit and confirmed that the compressor was not defective and it is in good working condition, attached the suction gauge( which the Mercy technician did as well) and found that the suction was running at 195 psi when ambient suction should be running at 115 psi. This new technician recovered/released the overcharged refrigerant within half an hour of his arrival and the air conditioner started cooling our house. Today June 21st 2022, the heat in Markham is 31 degrees C and our air conditioner with the so called failed compressor is cooling our house at 20 degrees C. Mercy heating & Air conditioning and their technicians tried to sell me an air conditioner that I didn't need by providing a false analysis. I feel very sorry for those who trusted Mercy Heating and Air conditioning's advise and got a new Air conditioner installed by them and gave these guy's a five star rating that they would not have deserved as you might have been unknowingly duped. I will not recommend this company to any one as they are not to be trusted with their advise. No one should be spending money and time in getting second opinion on a company that has been in business for 45 year.???.

After calling for service we didn't have heat at our house for a 3-4 days before the technician arrived with the required part. The analysis of the EM air systems representative, over the phone to identify the root cause was excellent. The part price was $235 and the labour cost was $95 per hour and was advised that it will take 3 hours to fix the issue. The repair was fixed within half an hour and when questioned the technician Ali stated, that he had to travel and pick up the parts to come to my house for which I had to pay at the rate of $95 per hour.(This is taking advantage of a customer during difficulties), instead if EM air had couriered the part to my house it would have only cost me maximum $50 or less. I thing that you don't have to be intelligent to figure this out to provide this kind out service and I believe that EM Air system was also part of this price gouging. I will not recommend this company to any of my friends and family.

Hello Mano. I reviewed the paperwork for your service call and spoke with the Service Manager to clarify what transpired. It appears that yes you are correct and our Service Technician incorrectly billed you the labour portion of this call. You should have only paid the minim labour amount of the call which is $95.00. We will refund you for 2 hours labour plus HST. We apologize for this mistake. We will be reviewing our billing procedures with this Technician to make sure he correctly fills out his paperwork.
