10/10

Had to change 5/8" waterline from city line to 1" to the house and upgrade the water meter. Originally we were concerned about getting this done because our driveway would have to be partly torn up to do this job. We were advise by region of peel staff about this type of service that can torpedo through the ground to complete the job without disturbing the driveway. Really could this be so? So started some research, checked out Homestars as well. Mike was one of the companies that came by. He was actually a breath of fresh air with this confidence and knowledge about the job. Wa every very informative, professional, and he was very well versed on the City of Brampton codes and requirements. He was even willing to do the required locates submission to get the work done. Which is required before starting any work such was this. He came back a second time was we had a possible other job. We did have some people suggest to put the new meter outside of our furnace room which we were not too keen on doing. Michael was one of the companies that would be able to put the new meter in our utility room. We did end up going with Water Guard and am so glad we did. The guys Igor, Slav & Ivan and the guys did a great job. Was there around 8:00am started the digging shortly there after. They covered our floors in the house with drop cloth, used tarp on the lawn to put the dirt on. When they left you barely new they were there. They ran the copper pipe (we did have the option for the plastic which was cheaper) but opted for the longevity of copper. Just a note it was brand new copper pipe right out of the plastic. Michaels father Vasyl came by to check to ensure we were ok. Michael called at the end of the day to find out if we had any question our to see if our exceptions were met and how the job went. We are very, very, very happy with the level of professionalism, knowledge, neatness & getting the job completed on time and with no stress to us the customer. If you are checking out companies that can do your job with out having to have your entire driveway, lawn, or any area on your property totally dug up this torpedo technique is fantastic. And Michael and the WaterGuard team is the right choice. Don't compromise. The mere fact I did not to stress nor have to regret our choice speaks volumes of these skilled tradesmen doing their craft. I am taking the time to right this review because we have had to do quite a bit of hiring contractors lately and it can be very stressful and off putting. So I want to help to inform other homeowners that may be search for this type of service and provide some comfort and confidence in this excellent team. Hope it helps
