We purchased a dishwasher about eighteen months ago. We have had problems with both the original installation and a reinstall when we changed the kitchen counter. We then contacted Ofer who had previously repaired a refrigerator and washing machine for us, both well and quickly. He pulled out the dishwasher, figured out a problem with the rear foot, fixed the front upper brackets and leveled the machine. The machine is now working well. In a field that seems to be crowded with incompetents, Ofer is highly knowledgeable about appliances, explains clearly what he is doing and works quickly and efficiently. He couldnt be better at his job and will be our first-call for future appliance problems.

We had Apex Interlocking reconstruct our front steps on two levels and our parking pad with interlocking and 6" x 6" lumber. Excellent job with their further design input during the construction that turned out to be a tremendous inprovement. Highly recommended.

We recently called Davesducts  to request a dust cleaning and furnace maintenance check.  Previously, Davesducts have cleaned our ducts twice and we were pleased with the results. Davesducts were up front with their pricing and unusually honest with their recommendation that we were unlikely to need duct cleaning given that we had had it done three years ago. The furnace maintenance also did not disappoint. Brendan, the furnace technician, quickly and efficiently did the maintenance and answered all our questions. Recent heavy rainstorms had damaged an undersized downspout and caused some basement leaking, despite a previous added drain. Harvey began assessing our problem from Google Earth before arriving to take a closer look. Ontario Downspout upsized our eaves to 6" and our downspouts to 3" X 4", adding a 30' foot pipe to get water even further from the house. The company found an opening within three weeks, came on-time, completed the work and cleaned the site in a day. During the work Mark and his crew replaced some damaged soffits and fascia. Mark was courteous and efficient and genuinely cared about his work. Generally an excellent experience.

After reading Homestars reviews, we contacted two different furnace companies to replace our furnace, air conditioner and humidifier. We decided to go with High Efficiency based on Charton's excellent overview of his products and the price. The installation was fast, efficient and painless, thanks to Jason, the installer. Everything seems to work perfectly. We would highly recommend this company.

We had Mclaughlin Flooring install 500 sq. ft. of hardwood flooring on the second floor of our house, removing old flooring and installing new sub-flooring as well. Rick's crew arrived promptly on the day scheduled and punctually the next as well. The site was cleaned up after each day. The installation was done efficiently and we were very happy with the results. (Later we had Mclaughlin Flooring restore the hardwood flooring on our first floor and the stairs. The crew was efficient and did a terrific job of matching the colour to our new second floor).We would strongly recommend this company.

We had Matthew in to move the pipes and install a new shower tap and nozzle in a basement bathroom we're renovating. He let us know when he'd be arriving and performed the work quickly and efficiently. We have already had him back to install the waterproof membrane in the shower pan and will have him back for any future plumbing needs. We recommend him highly.

We called Kevin Andrews to cut down part of a substantial tree. He responded quickly to our inquiry at a busy time of the year and arrived to do the job within a few days. He and his crew did the job quickly for a very reasonable price and did a good job of cleaning up the site afterwards. We would be happy to use his tree-cutting service again. We have had several electricians work on our mid-town home over the years, each one compounding previous problems. When we decided to have the house rewired from top to bottom, we requested several estimates.
