Firstly, as computer literate I am I did not read the reviews first and I wish I had and I would of never hired MOVEWORKS. The night before my move Anne phoned me to confirm that I was getting two trucks and four men as quoted. THe day of the move one truck and three men showed up. Ten minutes into meeting the movers the head guy threatened to leave. I spoke with Katie who was very nice and agreed to let them proceed. Anne showed up at my home at 2:00 pm to discuss the mishaps (short men and a truck) I was clear at that time that I was only paying the three men an hour fee. At closing of bill time at midnight Anne phoned and said that although I was paying the three men fee she wanted me to pay four hours above the quote because that is how long it took. I told her that I had a contract that was broken repeatedly by her company, regardless I was sticking to contract and paying my ten hours (could of been less time) if the right amount of men were there. After a heated disagreement, she agreed. Anne immediatly phoned her movers cell and told them that the extra hours would be coming out of there pocket as I was not paying. THe head mover now again very made threatens to not finish and leave with me belongings. SHAME ON YOU ANNE. very unprofessional company to have there movers hassle you for money moveworks should be paying. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Robin

Your move was completed on Fri. Feb. 29, 2008 during a blinding snow storm. The quote for your move was 4 men @$130.00 an hour for 10 hours plus $75.00 for transit protection which totalled $1375.00. I came to your home and suggested because there were 3 men not 4 (one mover was sick with the flu, and the rest of our staff committed elsewhere) that we would guarantee the quoted price of $1375.00. You ended up paying only $950 for your move instead of $1375, a discount of $425, or 30%. Your goods fit on one truck and arrived safely in Cambridge in one trip. The movers were paid for the extra hours they worked that day. We regret the inconvenience in timing, and compensated you fairly.
