I asked if Jason could come re-mount a railing that was coming loose. I'd proposed a fairly involved fix that would require opening up the wall and adding additional reinforcement. Jason took a look and found that bizarrely the original installers hadn't even put in a wall anchor, and offered to just put in a 75 lb anchor. Problem was solved quickly and easily, and if it does end up needing the more involved fix, I'll happily contact Jason for the work.

I had two ducts that needed to be looked at. One was a kitchen fan duct that we'd been advised to have inspected for flow – they successfully measured it and calculated it to be in good working order which was great. The other was a bathroom fan, which was quite noisy. Luckily the problem was located quite close to the fan intake, and they were able to make it much quieter quite quickly. Glad I got in touch with them, everything was very reasonable.

After buying a new townhome we had a variety of small electrical issues – a fan that wouldn't shut off, a thermostat behaving badly, a noisy fan an outlet that didn't work, and so on. Neil came by and went through each issue. For most of the issues he was able to resolve the issue just with advice – in one case the problem was ducting and not the electric fan, in another place he pointed us to a timer switch we hadn't realized just needed to be reconfigured. There was one "real" problem that required work, which was a power outlet that wasn't functioning. After some fairly exhaustive research attempting to determine how the malfunctioning outlet was wired and why it wasn't working, we both agreed installing a new outlet nearby instead was reasonable. We scheduled a new appointment and Neil got the new outlet wired – works like a charm.

Congrats on the new house Alan. We definitely work through a variety of issues that were mostly uncommon. The very last one was very puzzling but we found an answer for that. Happy holidays
