I'm very happy with the product selection and my in-store experience has always been positive. As someone without a car & poor assembly skills, I've relied heavily on Ikea to furnish my home. However, in each of 2 major deliveries there was a problem - this time awful XPO damaged an item &I had to organize a pickup to return it to the store. The refund card didn't arrive in the mail causing another hour on the phone to resolve it. Last time, they delivered a box that wasn't mine, I spent 2 hours on the phone and another XPO hassle to get it picked up. I think this is a great company in many ways and don't understand their failures in the post-purchase system.

I’ve used Maret’s Cleaning twice, for a move out and a move in deep cleaning, and would not hesitate to recommend them. There are services which might initially seem easier to use, because they will send someone out on the basis of a description of the job over the phone instead of scheduling an in home assessment first. And there are services which are less expensive. But my experience with Maret’s proved worth the time and cost, and I would be happy to use them again. The ‘in home’ assessment allowed me to point out specific things that were important to me, allowed Jackie (who was a pleasure to deal with) to identify things I hadn’t considered, and at the end she provided a detailed estimate of what could be done in how many hours, and in one of the jobs I opted to lower my cost by deciding on priorities. In the 'move out' cleaning there were several deep cleaning items which simply wouldn’t have been done or done well by standard cleaning companies, such as detailed cleaning of the inside runners of mirrored doors, windows removed and reinstalled after cleaning, removal of mineral buildup on bath tiles, detailed cleaning of the edges of floors, and cleaning of appliances as well as the floor underneath the stove and fridge. I'm a satisfied customer !

I've accompanied friends to storage facilities in the past which were hot, old, dark dirty spaces prone to infestation. And while I have a condo locker, its space is limited, and it's not air conditioned, which can make all the difference in the world to the condition of your belongings after a while. It was a great surprise to find Spaces Self Storage, which is very easy to get to by TTC or car from my downtown location. It's a bright new facility with super clean, air conditioned lockers in a variety of shapes and sizes. Wide isles make it a breeze to move things in using your own dollies loading carts, or those available at the facility. I will definitely continue to use them for any storage needs and would highly recommend them to others.

I would give this company an 11 if I could. I’ve used them twice now, once for a storage move, and also to move my washer dryer unit out of the laundry closet (twice !) for the plumber to fix a botched washer repair. I am especially grateful that Cargo Cabbie managed to accommodate the second appliance move, as an urgent request at the end of a busy day. I’ve had several movers in the past, some of them rude, one who preferred to drop heavy boxes rather than carefully lowering them, another who glowered at me after he scratched the floor and I politely asked if he could be more careful, and a gross bug from a dirty truck arriving with my belongings. I’ve also had some who were just ok. Cargo Cabbie goes beyond ok and all of the staff are a pleasure to deal with. The professional and accommodating office staff (thanks Alli, Hillary and Theresa) walked me through every step of the process. The fabulous moving guys (thanks Jonathan, Jack, Chris and Jake) arrived on time, took great care of my belongings, had a clean, well organized truck, and did everything to put me at ease. When the 2nd appliance move took less time than expected, the amount I had agreed upon was significantly lowered without my asking. I will soon be moving to a new place and there is no question that I will use Cargo Cabbie and highly recommend them to others.

I had 10 year old marble floors in my condo kitchen and bathroom which had never been sealed by the builder and were completely dull and etched. I wanted the shine restored for sale, and although this isn't an inexpensive service, seeing the results made me wish I had done this for myself years ago ! The guys who came were friendly and professional, worked with care to protect the areas where they were working, and my floors are beautifully shiny and sealed. Highly recommended.

I recently used John Bell Painting for the 5th time and as always, knew I could trust the professional results. Over the years, this company has painted two apartments, an office, and removed a “popcorn” ceiling in my condo, creating a new smooth ceiling which required several layers of meticulous plastering over concrete. John’s estimates are careful and specific, and while my paint preferences are invariably accomodated, he is very helpful with choices of colour or finish when asked. I’m something of a perfectionist and the painters have never hesitated to make a rare small correction to achieve the best possible outcome. They were always on time, were friendly and professional, cleaned up after themselves and even placed furniture back for me. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company, and will continue to turn to them for painting needs in the years to come.
