I had a red brick fireplace that we wanted painted white. WOW was great to deal with from start to finish. Appointments were on time, price was fair and work was excellent. I recommend WOW and will use again.

I found Floors Done Right on Homestars and was impressed by their perfect 10/10 rating. After using them I can see why and gave them the same perfect score. From the beginning Micheal was easy to deal with, friendly and on time. He visited the condo , gave me an estimate and started exactly on time. He also gave me a supplier of baseboard that saved me a lot of money. Michael and Justin worked very hard and did an excellent job installing the flooring and baseboards. They were careful to not waste any product and cleaned up and disposed the waste when they were finished. I recommend FLOORS DONE RIGHT for your flooring needs and have already contracted them to do another project for me . This firm deserves another 10/10.

I called Andrew based on Homestar reviews and wonderful feedback on this firm from a friend. Andrew came over to look at my maple tree that needed trimming the same day I contacted him and I received a written estimate the following day. The price was extremely reasonable and based on Homestar reviews I knew his work would be great. After waiting for the weather to break, Andrew gave me a firm date for the work and he showed up right on time. He did a fabulous job trimming my very tall and mature Norway Maple tree. He did not rush, took pride in his work and cleaned up the yard so it was spotless. I am very pleased with Andrew at the Re:Leaf Group and the work he performed and I will definitely use him again and recommend to others. JMC (Pickering)

When painting the bedroom I put paint on the face of the electrical wall plugs resulting in 3 of the 4 wall plugs not working. Having had Mark from Green Planet Electric do some electrical work at my home previously and being very satisfied I called Mark in a panic. He gave me an estimate on the phone to replace the 3 receptacles and agreed to come over the next day. The repair was not as basic as I thought but Mark examined the wiring in the surrounding area and expertly diagnosed and isolated the problem that actually related to the GFI in another room. Mark quickly and easily removed and replaced the wall plugs, checked the GFI and related work and helped me move back the furniture when he was completed. Mark did not charge me anything extra for the extra work and actually explained the diagnosis to me so that I would understand. Mark is a Licensed Master Electrician with excellent professional and personal skills. My wife and I appreciated Mark removing his outer footwear and wearing slippers to protect the floors. I will continue to contact Mark for any future electrical work that I require and I have already recommended Green Planet Electric to family friends. The price was very fair/reasonable, the work expertly carried out and the service was very professional, pleasant and courteous. It doesn't get any better then this.

Browning Renovations did a great job installing a new porcelain tile floor in my washroom. The work involved removal/disposal of existing flooring, new shutoff valves, re/re baseboard, re/re toilet and bidet, installation of new sub-floor and tiles. The work was carried out in a very professional manner with great attention to detail. Brandon put down drop sheets on the floors near the work area, cleaned up after each day and completed the work on time and on budget. Brandon was very helpful and assisted us in selecting the best colour of the grout. I especially appreciated Brandon communicating with me about his start time at the start of the day. I would highly recommend Browning Renovations as a contractor and I have already asked him to give me a price for new flooring on the main floor.

I wanted to upgrade the electrical switches and receptacles on the main floor in my home. I checked Homestars and found that Green Planet Electric had excellent reviews and ratings. I called and Mark answered the call immediately. I was not only impressed that Mark answered the phone personally but after describing my project Mark gave me a very reasonable flat rate price on the phone. We made an appointment for next week and Mark arrived right on time. Mark is a very experienced master electrician and carried out the work in a very professional and tidy manner. Being an older home some creative wiring existed but Mark corrected them without hesitation. Mark is very thorough, careful and competent. While working in the kitchen Mark noticed that a receptacle beside the sink was not a GFI and was a safety hazard. He recommended that this be replaced with a GFI as soon as possible (but did not pressure me to get him to do the work as an extra). Because of the older wiring the work took longer then originally anticipated but Mark kept to the quoted price. I was so satisfied with the work that Mark carried out previously, that a week later I asked him to return to replace the GFI that I purchased plus replace several other switches etc. Again the work was excellent and the price very fair and reasonable. I will be getting further electrical upgrades done in the spring and will be asking Green Planet to do this work for me. I would certainly recommend Green Planet Electric to anyone who needs the services of an electrician. This firm is certainly deserving of the 10 out of 10 rating that I provided.

I called CB tree service based on the reviews in Homestars. I have 5 trees in my backyard that are about 40 feet tall, one of them was split and damaged due to a storm. I called Craig at CB and advised him of the situation and as part of one of the trees had fallen he said he would come by in a couple of hours. Craig was right on time and gave me a good price to cut the damaged tree and remove the fallen limbs etc. The work he did was very professional, quick and clean. I had a look at the remaining trees and noted they were all quite old and in danger of falling on my or my neighbour's sheds so I asked Craig for a price to cut down and dispose of all 5 of the trees. Craig gave me a great price and as he had a cancellation for the next day he said he would come the next afternoon to do the work. Sure enough at 1.00 p.m. Craig and his crew arrived and commenced an afternoon of cutting down the 5 large trees, shredding the brush and cutting the trunks into firewood size pieces. Craig also removed, at no extra charge, a very large but dead branch from another tree. Craig and his team worked on their own all afternoon in a very professional, organized, efficient and effective manner. They cleaned up the yard after the work to a spotless condition. I have already recommended CB Tree Service to 2 of my neighbours and will be calling him back in the Fall for some pruning of a large Maple tree that I have. I strongly recommend CB Tree Service to anyone and am pleased to give them the full 10 points in the Homestars ratings. John M Pickering, May 29,2013

This firm is extremely professional in every way from the estimate to the invoice. Kurt and his team rebuit over 200 feet of garden walls at the front and back of my home, lifted/re-laid about 100 s.f. of interlock stone, created a new area using paving stones, cut the asphalt at the edges of the driveway and installed a soldier course of paving stones, and disposed of all surplus materials.,The workmanship is exceptional, the crew is very pleasant, courteous, neat/tidy and hardworking. Kurt provided valuable advice on the design of the front garden that resulted in a stylish design that is very impressive. Once on site I asked Kurt for an extra price to do an extra area of paving stones and his price was very reasonable., I requested changes in the design along the way that were accepted without question. Kurt adhered to his stated start and completion dates and his crew was on site for the entire period without interruption. My wife and I are thrilled with the work of this firm and would certainly recommend them to anyone. It is such a pleasure to deal with a firm with such skills, professionalism and integrity. if I could provide a higher rating then 10 I would do so. John M, Pickering
