We interviewed a few companies before we selected Captain Handy - main reason were very high reviews as well as professionalism of our main contact, Alex. From start to finish, it was an excellent experience - Alex always met timelines he committed to (from quote turn around, to all the steps throughout the project). He has incredible attention to detail, is very responsive and professional all the way. His crew were amazing - took pride in their work, professional, friendly, on time and clean. No job always goes pitch perfect, which is where the true colors of a contractor show: Alex was quick and thorough to manage through any challenges throughout the project to ensure they were satisfactorily resolved. Steele Pools was recommended to us by a coworker who had worked with them to install their beautiful pool. We received several quotes from which Steele Pools was competitively priced (not high or low). However, what clearly set them apart was exceptional customer service from start to finish. Laura and Aaron were patient and partnered enthusiastically to design a pool that could meet all our needs and fit within the often tight spaces of Toronto homes. At every step, they were punctual, professional and very responsive. They provided accurate timelines, stayed on top of them and also helped us ensure auxiliary items (not in their scope) were taken care of in a timely manner (eg locates, permits etc). Aaron and his crew are incredibly hard working and take a lot of pride in the quality of their work. Laura is exceptional at coordination and ensuring clients are brought along the journey. Post installation as well, they've both been very resourceful to answer any questions we have. We would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to install a pool with a firm that operates as partners .. and not contractors!

We connected with Dennis to solve for a dark hallway in our house. Dennis was punctual, professional and gave candid feedback without being pushy/salesy. Once we determined which path to go, the longest part of the process was waiting to be scheduled given we were in the middle of a busy season. Once scheduled, the crew came on time, were very professional, courteous and accommodating (with young children and cat underfoot). They took feedback well and were able to change course very quickly while still finishing on time (we increased scope to add 1 more sun tunnel in our washroom). Highly recommend them and in fact we will be using them to install one more sun tunnel to complete the our project (hopefully with a shorter wait time for installation!). Definitely recommend.
