The Move from Hell... First they were a day early, then they were 1 hour and 45 minutes late. The only reason they made it to our house at all was because the driver called me and asked for directions to our address "We're on Queens Street", in Toronto?? I live in Oakville.... The movers were rude to my wife, to the supers at both buildings and incredible unprofessional, profane and inconsiderate of anyone around them. We felt like we were in an episode of Twilight Zone, it was ridiculous!! This went on all day long... One mover even put his foot through our wall, which they denied at first and eventually fessed up to! I would not recommend these movers to anyone, unless of course they want a full day of abuse! :( The company quoted us 4 to 5 hours, the movers took 9. At one point early in the move, when asked why this was taking so long, the mover replied, "If you got paid as little as I do, you'd be moving this slow too" At this point we have not paid the bill, we are going to fight them in court.

Approximate cost of services:
$900.00

Company Response

Hi Jeff,

First of all the elevator on Old Mill Rd. was not available to us. It was booked by Campbell who will be only too happy to verify this. You told our crew you had already given your MC card number for payment..which you obviously didn't. There was no problem until you decided you were not paying your bill.at the end of the move to which you had previously agreed to do with Master Card. Then I heard you cursing and swearing at our crew and literally pushed them physically out the door.. This verbal and physical abuse by you is not acceptable and assault charges should be laid against you. You refused to negotiate with me and also swore at me. For some reason you seem to think the crew and Earth Star do not deserve to be paid at all. There is nor reason at all for this. Your move is complete regardless of the parking situation and the small ammount of damage caused when one of our movers slipped off the stairs going to the loft. You also screamed about the fact you wanted to go to a concert. I tried to call you several times and you refused to answer. I have spoken to you this morning asking for at least a minimum move Of $356. plus tax totaling $402.28. This would at least cover the fuel and the crews wages. Yes the driver did get lost, yes he was an hour late, for which you were not charged. The parking situation could not be helped and was not our fault. The truck had to be loaded from the side door. Also the building has informed us there is no problem in the overtime needed to use the elevator..due to the fact it was already in use by the other mover, who were running late.

Please reconsider. Thank you,

Linda
