Alexander provided a competitive quote on the installation of three IKEA tall cabinets with pull out doors. He responded quickly to my request for a quote. The installation was delayed due to Covid restrictions in my condo. It’s important for both the customer and service provider to show flexibility. Dimitri and Majid were great to work with. Both were skilled at assembly and installing as well as troubleshooting. They made some good suggestions and were both very friendly and affable. Given the work involved, I think it was worth every penny. Homeowners just need to think about how to get rid of the multitude of boxes afterwards! The price paid is exclusive oh HST.

Edward was faced with removing a 2002 microwave that did not uninstall like the ones today. There was a hidden latch to release behind the vent. The new microwave was also an inch taller than the old one. He returned with a colleague and was able to expertly drill through a recently installed backsplash to install the mounting plate. The microwave was installed (today) on Christmas Eve, just in time to enjoy the holidays. I am a happy customer!

I met several firms before I selected Finer Edge for a paint job that included two bathroom ceilings, entry way, kitchen, living room and one bedroom. Scott, who managed the job, was the consummate professional. He was friendly, informative and helpful throughout the process. All my questions were answered and he kept his commitments in respect of time and cost. The painters were very professional and even helped re-install heavy items such as a mirror and TV. I was absolutely thrilled with the incredible new kitchen that James helped create. He is extremely professional with exceptional attention to detail and skill. I started off unsure whether to paint my old oak cabinets. He provided a sample which convinced me that what I really wanted was to start with new cabinet doors. James expertly measured for new solid maple doors and sourced an excellent supplier. He sprayed the uppers Chantilly Lace and the lowers Hale Navy, both Benjamin Moore colours. He installed brand new high quality soft-close hinges. The on-site spraying of the exterior areas was great and the results of a spray finish are far superior to a brushed or rolled finish. He installed the new hardware and completed the last touches. The exceptional results speak for themselves. Working with an intelligent, considerate and client service oriented person made all the difference. The Final Coat T.O. headed by James receives my highest recommendation. The price included brand new maple cabinet doors (no MDF or plywood), all new soft close hinges, and the incredible painting of the cabinets. I should mention that he installed new edge banding at no extra cost. It is the best reno money I have ever spent.

This company gave me an estimate of $950 to remove and replace the drywall for my kitchen backsplash or approximately 17 sq ft. The quote to tile the backsplash afterwards was also another $950. I knew both quotes were ridiculous. While I paid substantially less for the drywall work, and was unimpressed with the service, it got done. There was no way I would have the tile work done, and in the end paid $450 for the job to a reliable person who specializes in backsplashes. All supplies included, excluding the tiles. Stay far away from this place.

Will is one of the most reliable plumbers I have ever used. I now exclusively use Draincom. Will only recently replaced my under sink plumbing but I decided to replace counters and my sink to single bowl and he had to essentially use the parts for the double-bowl to reconfigure everything. I am very distraught by the Homestars warning. Ignore it. It is not my experience and it appears to me it is not indicative of what actual clients would have to say. Draincom stands behind their work. If they need to come back they do.

I have used Rushforth almost exclusively over the last 10 years. The most recent job was replacing regular outlets with 3 GFCI outlets in the kitchen, installing a timer for a bathroom fan (tricky because of the depth of the wall) and a ceiling light in the living room. The work was done well and efficiently and Shane, the electrician, was more than happy to answer questions. It is easy to work with people who are easy to talk to and who are skilled at what they do. Highly recommended.

Plumber Will Vincent did a great job of replacing old brace piping with new “Flex 15” PVC. He is exceptionally honest and friendly. As a young plumber, he is committed to providing great customer service along with high quality plumbing. Just 2-3 weeks earlier, Will replaced 2 toilet and two washer shut off valves. He made sure the work was done carefully and fully tested it for leaks. He likes answering questions and providing a thorough explanation about options and materials. I was very pleased with the work done on both occasions. The price below is strictly for replacement of the pipes under the kitchen sink. The first two photos are of the rough brass to PVC replacement. The third photo is the before and after photos of the valve work. They stand behind their work, if any issues arise. A friend highly recommended drain.com to me and I am happy to do the same.

I was unable to install the expensive induction cooktop I purchased because of an electrical issue. This company wanted to charge me a 25% re-stocking fee. I purchased a less expensive basic cooktop that matched my electrical service and suddenly the re-stocking fee was $165. So a $550 cooktop cost me $700, and they have the cooktop I returned back in their hands. It felt like extortion. Do not buy here. Price match and buy from a reputable appliance dealer. They will never get my business again. Don't believe the A+ BBB reading. Read the complaints and understand that BBB does not investigate issues like this as they complied with their reprehensible policy.

I found Mark on Homestars and hired him based on the excellent reviews he received. I could not have been happier with the installation. He was professional and a straight shooter. He quoted a fair price, arrived on time and got to work. I was missing a part for the installation that he had on his truck. If not for that, the job could have been delayed. Mark was friendly, intelligent and did exactly what he promised, at the price quoted. I highly recommend Mark.
