It's alwasys easy to remember the bad things in life - so, in retrospect I feel these guys deserve a good write-up. Better late than never. 2006 - Took a chance on them - not known at the time. Had a large bay window repalaced and patio door - Done properly, on time as promised and great workers. Cost was quite reasonable (we had comparisons). 2008 - New front door and side-light - Again, price was good and workmanship great. Done on date agreed upon. Actually, the door is even better looking than we imagined. Everything matches (trim etc). I wont give them a 10 - rare even in Olympic gymnastics - but I think you get the point.

We had a mixed experience with Davenport Campbell. The sales and post support people were fine but the original installers of our new air conditioning unit were "amateurish". I believe they may actually have been let go after our experience. First were the delays. I had booked time off from work to oversee matters (electrical panel locations and other matters). After several phone calls from the installer(s) saying they would be late, then later, then later still.......finally, they arrive on the following day (a Saturday). Second, I actually had to step in to assist in the system startups by pointing out that certain systems were not working as they said (and ready to leave). I had to point out specific electrical systems were not switched on and a disconnect panel outside had not been engaged. Third, after the system was working we noticed the cooling effect was ineffective. Finally, a guy shows up who knows his stuff. The original installer had let much of the coolant escape during the install and we were almost empty. This guy was great - a pro! In the end, we had some better people show up to fix our complaints and received some satisfactory monetary compensation for our troubles. (But we're still missing our Air Conditioner cover) - We'll be calling this spring. We may have just been the unfortunate ones to experience a bad hiring decision. I think the post support people may have proven this to be true.
