After some good advice from another contractor last winter that 2009 was the year to replace my ageing furnace, I tried to get 3-5 quotes for the project this September. I was discouraged by the fact that half the companies I contacted either didn't return my call or didn't show up for the appointment, but was happy with the quote I got from Reliable Home Comfort and with the professionalism of the guys who came for the quote. Installation in early November went very smoothly: exactly the time estimated, and on completion the work area was actually cleaner than they'd found it. I was very disappointed when the furnace died four weeks later, but Sylvio made a late house call (11pm) and tried his best to fix the problem, even consulting with another technician by phone. He returned the next morning to replace the part he thought was responsible, and when this too failed, he took away other parts with him for inspection. At every step of the way he did a good job of keeping me informed on the time frame and progress. Even slightly earlier than he told me he'd return, my entire furnace was replaced by Sylvio and Jamie, in just slightly over two hours. He dealt with questions well and was happy to give advice. Both Sylvio and Jamie were pleasant to deal with and as representatives of Reliable were efficient and capable. Highly recommended.

Excellent service--not often that a tradesman is actually a day early, is it? But that's exactly what happened, I had Open Sesame booked for a Friday morning appointment to fix a new garage door that had been poorly installed. They called me at 6pm the night before and told me they were not far from my neighbourhood, could they actually come over for a look? I was actually on my way out but they arrived just as I was leaving. I got home that night to find the door was working better than it ever had--instead of 3 people needed to lift it, I could raise the door with one finger--and a reasonable bill left behind. Definitely recommended!

Victory was the 5th locksmith I called. After being told the project would be a minimum of $300 plus tax, take 90 min, or couldn't be done for nearly a week, I finally called Tom. He was friendly on the phone and asked what day & time were most convenient for me. His estimate came in quite a bit under the others. Tom was onsite a few minutes early, he took only 45 minutes from start to finish and this even included replacing a deadbolt and two knobs, which we hadn't counted on. He's a friendly, honest guy who does great work. I can't recommend him highly enough.
