I had the house attic upgraded from R40 (that had settled to R35 and less) to R60 minimum. My attached 2 car garage was already fully drywalled with fully insulated walls but the garage attic had no insulation at all. Mark, the owner, showed up promply on time for the estimate. I found the estimate very reasonable and had them do the job. The installers showed up exactly on time and brought 10% extra insulation in case. Turns out they needed it! There was an area about 300 sq/ft at the back of the house attic on one side that had LITTLE TO NO insulation and another area of about 300 sq/ft that only had about R15 - R20. They used all the extra insulation they had brought with them and then sourced more insulation locally to ensure the entire house attic was a minimum of R60. No extra charge. Very impressed! Would highly recommend them.

Thank you SB, for your excellent review. We appreciate it. There are always surprises and while we do bring extra, we unfortunately didn't bring enough. Glad we could get it done for you all the same. And thank you for the recommendation for your neighbour.

We saw John personally hand deliver a flyer to our door. We moved into the house last summer and on the 'wish list' was replacing the upper 1/2 regular glass on our front doors. I called Pinnacle1 on a Sunday late afternoon to leave a message but John picked up right away. I asked him when he might be able to do a quote and he said tomorrow if we were free. Monday he spent a significant time with us showing many samples he brought along. He explained the manufacturing process and the differences in quality between suppliers. I could tell from his full size samples that his products were superior to what I had seen before. We were only going to do the 1/2 original window. John suggested we place some full size samples up against the door opening and view them from both sides. This changed our minds immediately and we ordered full size panels. He said it would be a week or two before they would be ready. We were suprised when he called 4 days later on Friday saying the panels were complete and he was free to install them the next day! He showed up promply on time and did a very professional installation job. This included checking the door hinges, tightening them up, replacing a broken hinge screw, removing both door to cut the lower half and installing them. He then ran a very thin bead of caulking around both sides of the glass trim inside and out. Best caulking job I have ever seen. To me that was a sign of a true professional. Very friendly and personal as well. Highly recommend him if your in the market for these. I have attached before and after pictures.

Retired and moved out of the city to Cobourg. ALWAYS wanted a 'garage'. Shopped around a lot. I found most garage companies to be pretty good but I was disappointed in the available product range. The first time I walked into Garage Living and met Aaron I knew I had found the right company. Many, many different choices of floors, cabinets, racks, etc. During our home inspection of the house Aaron showed up promptly and made detailed drawings and measurements of the garage. We met with him at the store and selected all the products. Shortly after that he emailed us the CAD program drawings showing us the proposed layout. Over time we made a few changes and settled on a price. We needed a firm comitment from him for an install date as we had our furniture stored for 3 days after possession to have this work and hardwood flooring done.. The crew showed up promptly on day 1. They spent 3 hours with 3 different machines diamond grinding the garage floor and 10" sidewalls. It's all in the prep work. They then applied the tinted polyaspartic adhesive followed by lots of grey, black and white pvc chips (many colors available) followed by the thick, clear polyaspartic top coat. The outside of the house is 'earth tones' so Aaron suggested doing the lip outside the garage door taupe with some silicon sand to prevent slipping. The finished product looked awesome. Day 2. Dark grey (our choice) full locker, upper and lower cabinets installed with a butcher block countertop and polished tread plate backsplash. The cabinets were all securely bolted to the wall and leveled. The grey (our choice) wall storage treatment was then installed together with our choice of hanging accessories. Two tire storage racks were installed followed by the 4x8 overhead storage rack above the garage door. The best hose reel I've ever seen was then installed. The final item was 2 48" sealed 2 lamp fluorescent light fixtures. Prior to doing the floor they boxed in the sides and the risers of the stairs into the house so they could be coated. They moved the central vac to accommodate the cabinets. They also helped me to install a central vac outlet at the front of the garage for the cars (and the floor!) that was not in the contract. After they left I discovered a small scratch on one of the lower cabinet drawers. They returned the next day, 130 km each way, and replaced the drawer. The entire process was very professional from start to finish. Zero issues. Zero regrets. Many options for different budgets. Our interior decorator was so impressed she asked for Aarons contact information and borrowed the multi-page brochure to show her clients. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
