I obtained a total of four quotes that also had good ratings based on Homestar feedback. Robert answered all my questions and gave me confidence in his craftmanship. Though his quote was not the cheapest, it wasn't the most expensive either; it did represent a merger of both excellent product quality and service installation. Six reasons why I would hire Floorwood Solutions again: 1) Timeliness: project started and ended as per our agreement. 2) Responsiveness: addressed my on-the-spot concerns during the project. 3) Accuracy: raising of the staircase nosing, the fit of the pieces is seamless. WOW! 4) Clarity: Contract spelled out exactly what the job entailed so there was no misunderstandings. Also, dealing with Robert as both the salesman/installer made sure there would be no mis-communication that would sometimes occur between salesman to installer and homeowner. 5) Courtesy: Robert and Darek were courteous and professional. 6) Knowledgeable: Robert and Darek would on occassion stop installing and sand the floor in certain spots as it wasn'tlevel (I wonder how many other contractors would do this?). UPDATE: March 6, 2012 Had a terrible windstorm last weekend. Found a few shingle strips in my backyard. I wasn't sure if they belong to my roof or my neighbour (we both have the same style and colour). I notified Tom and he sent someone from his crew to inspect my roof the next day. Everything was fine for me...wasn't my roof. How's that for customer service almost 4 years later! ************************************ I got estimates from the top 3 roofers (in my area) based on Homestar reviews. Tom was the only one who promptly showed up for the appointment that fit my schedule, gave me a written detailed estimate face-to-face, patiently answered my questions, did not use any sales pressure tactics or critize his competitors to make himself look better. Upon completion of the job, the area was left clean and the roofing job was excellent. I could not observe any shortcuts, when we had follow-up questions afterwards. Tom answered our questions. I would recommend Mega City Roofing, for their professionism and customer service.
