We bought anew home in Brooklin. The house has a walkout from the basement. Upgraded French doors were improperly aligned, initially would not lock at all, damaged by Zancor service, still do not close properly. Water literally poured in during rain we put out towels and containers to catch the water. A "water test" showed no problem. It took 2 years before it was discovered that the window above had not been sealed. The deck between those windows was removed to reval a header with water damage and beginnings of mould. 2nd storey deck never replaced, or doors which led to the deck properly secured. Large gaps in the flooring in the basement persist after two attempts to fix it- a subfloor was never installed and there is a slope to a drain causing the problem. After over 2 years of bringing the problem to their attention, we were told our warranty had expired. If you have delay after delay in response, any warranty will have sufficient time to expire. We were actually advised by the salesperson to contact our lawyer as she was not getting a response from Zancor. After sales service is atrosius and customer service is non-existent.

We contracted Frank to install stamped concrete stairs from upper level front yard to lower level in the backyard. He also installed a patio to our basement doors. The attention to detail, and the care the crew took in completing the project exceeded our expectations. The final cost of the stairs and patio were what was quoted. There was an unpreventable delay due to poor weather. Frank kept us informed when we could expect work to begin, and work commenced just when he said it would. As we watched work in progress, we knew we had contracted the right person for the job. Frank became personally involved in the actual construction, and was on site every morning to talk to his crew and follow-up on the project`s progress. We love the final outcome and have had so many compliments on the finished project. We have absolutely nothing negative to say about the whole process, and would certainly do it again!!

Viktory Landscaping was hired by several neighbors to dig postholes and install posts. We own a house clad in siding, were unsure how to install posts in order to place gates at 2 locations. Viktory Landscaping assured us in the presence of our neighbors that the posts next to the house would be installed, and even went to great length to describe all the finishing touches they would do so the posts would look close to the wall. Our big mistake was paying the gentleman when the job was not completely finished-just a few posts left to install. When they moved on to the next house, we asked when the gate posts would be installed. We were told that they didn't do that sort of thing, and furthermore, never told us that they would. They left a heck of a mess around the post holes. We ended up paying approx. $10.00 more per post than the original quote. We needed to hire another fencing company to come and install those posts. That company came, installed the posts beautifully, and cleaned up after themselves-really wish we had hired them in the first place.

Company Response

Hey thanks for the review. Just like the other 10,000+ post we have installed we never ever clean up the soil around the base of the post just so we are clear.

As a professional contractor over 15 years I've come to realize that not everybody can be pleased nor happy with my work.

I wish you all the best, and hope you enjoy your backyard, front yard, and side yard, landscaping that we provided.

The neighbourhood hired a post hole company to dig and install fence posts. After promising to install posts next to our house which is siding-they denied ever saying that. We called Dave at McFaul Fencing, he promptly came out and gave us a quote. His crew came when arranged, did a beautiful job of installing those posts, installed another gate for us-again a great job, and is designing 2 other gates according to our specifications. Dave was wonderful in discussing our needs, offered valuable ideas, and completed the work on time, cleaned up after themselves. I wish we had hired him to install our fence posts.

I contracted Shaun Binns of Binns Kitchen and Bath Design to design and install a kitchen in a new home in-law-suite. His design took into consideration all of my requests and more. His design far exceeded my expectations. The area where the kitchen is installed has a much smaller square footage than the home I left, yet there is far more storage, and much better planned storage as well. Shaun Binns walked me through the entire process right from the start, made great suggestions which we did put in place and now appreciate more than I had anticipated. His customer service was excellent which I am sure reflects the kind of service anyone can expect from Binns Kitchen and Bath design. My kitchen was delivered and installed exactly when promised, and at the cost that was quoted. Shaun was onsite to oversee the installation, arranged for other trades and was onsite to ensure that work was done as planned. Shaun was always available to answer any questions I had, and visited to demonstrate and explain some of the great features of the cabinetry. The cabinets are of excellent quality, beautiful to look at, and installed to perfection. My experience was a pleasurable one from beginning to end and I would highly recommend Shaun Binns, and Binns Kitchen and Bath Design
