Alan and the AG Construction team renovated our basement (living area, kitchen, bedroom, laundry room and bathroom) in the Beaches neighbourhood in Toronto. The last renovation had happened in the 90s and the space was in need of some serious TLC. AG: -finished doing the demo we had started ourselves, including demoing laundry and bedroom ceilings and pulling up bedroom rug -insulated and soundproofed -drywalled (including plaster work to help with the old houses uneven ceilings) -interior framing and insulation for two new windows -laid new flooring and baseboards -painted the entire basement -reframed and retiled the fireplace hearth -did our kitchen backsplash, floating shelf and vent hood cabinet/installation -installed new doors and refinished old ones -built out a custom bathroom cubby -helped us re-purpose old kitchen cupboards in our laundry room -reframed the basement bedroom closet and customized and installed doors for it -did some additional plaster patch and painting work around the upstairs of the house after electrical work The crew was extremely kind and courteous. They helped fix issues caused by other contractors and trades and were extremely tidy. Communicating with Alan and his team was easy and seamless and Alan paid a lot of attention to detail. His prices were fair and he had great availability and flexibility when things had to pivot due to supply chain or trades delays. We came across AG after having had two other contractors fall through and we are so glad they did. We will definitely be working with AG again.

Kemore removed an old laundry room sink for us and replaced it with a cabinet and sink combo we had previously. He did some custom cutting to have the cabinet fit around our existing dryer vent. He also relocated some plumbing in our basement kitchen renovation from one wall to another and ran it through the wall instead of in front of the wall (as it had previous been installed). He was very professional and accommodating to the needs of the project and I would definitely hire him again.

We initially called Marcus in to remove some asbestos insulation from around our boiler pipes in the basement utility room, laundry room and bedroom. Marcus was available for a quote next day and he and his team completed the work in one day. We then called him back to remove some moldy water-damaged drywall from the basement living room and in doing so he discovered the laminate floors (which we were looking to replace because of the same water damage) had asbestos tile underneath. He was able to squeeze us in that same week to remove the tile and arranged for a garbage bin to be dropped in our driveway for us to get rid of furniture and junk that would need to be moved from the basement in order to do the work. His team even moved the garbage out of the house and into the bin for us. Everything was done quickly and with good communication along the way and safety precautions including an air quality test following the removal were taken. I would recommend Marcus for any remediation work.
