Kevin from Upright arrive on schedule to remove my existing chain drive opener and install a new jackshaft opener. From the moment of arrival to completion of the project, he worked non-stop, tuning up the door, replacing certain components and correcting the tensions on the shaft springs. Should you note the cost, know that there was no sticker shock. The prior quote was met and I added some accessories that moved the price up. Kevin was detailed and methodical and obviously took pride in his workmanship and left the worksite better than he found it. I have no hesitation in recommending the services of Upright Door Service. If I have any issues, I will call for service and have no doubt they will respond promptly to my satisfaction.

Alan knocked on my door and explained he was in the area doing sealing. He was knowledgeable and convinced me to seal my driveway. Before contracting him, I researched the Company and found their ratings on Homestars to be quite low, but it was due to a number of unsatisfied customers who had signed-up for snow removal services. Apparently, that didn't work out well and they have decided not to offer the service in the future. Reviews for driveway sealing were generally good, so I decided to go with Alan's offer. It was an extremely hot day, but Alan did not cur corners. He carefully taped areas to avoid overspray of the sealant and went about the job. I was impressed with his dilligence and endurance. He pre-filled all the cracks and then applied the sealant. I was impressed with his care and workmanship. The end result is more than satisfactory. I don't know how long it will last, but it looks good and upon close inspection it looks like he didn't miss a spot. So, don't be put off buy the overall lower rating of this company. I can only speak to the driveway sealing and only to the job done by Alan, But I am completely satisfied and recommend the service.

We have a beautiful master bedroom, but had an ugly and tiny ensuite bathroom that over the years we grew to dislike for many reasons. Certainly, the small and ugly bit bothered us and so did the pre-fab corner shower that was leaking and causing mold as well as the linoleum floor (did I mention ugly) that always looked dirty. There was a crappy (pun intended) little commode that constantly need attention to keep it flushing properly and the box-store vanity was, well, just plain ugly. The whole room was a disaster and an insult to the rest of the house. So that brings us to THE PROJECT. I researched and reviewed and even did a scale CAD of the room as a conversation starter with contractors we would interview. I sent out feelers to a few on this Homestars site as well as a number of web responses to other contractors' websites. None seemed in any hurry to respond despite repeated attempts, except Richard Gartner, one of the principals at HSG Consulting. Subsequently we met Richard and his wife, interior designer/decorator, Jennifer and they put together a drawing of the suggestions we had discussed. Speeding up the story, we arranged to meet at the showroom to pick tiles, stone and fixtures. It was difficult because the choice was endless, but Jennifer guided us the whole way and we settled on everything right there. Fast forward to the renovation work. The team arrives early morning at the appointed hour and immediately put down drop cloths wherever they are to walk and they completely seal the bedroom from the work area so no dust may infiltrate. These guys are so polite and so efficient and don't seem to mind working long days that the job was accomplished amazingly quickly. Each of the team was a craftsman and did flawless work. Every day that they came and went they tidied up and you would hardly know they had been here. Richard and Jennifer checked on progress everyday and made sure all ran smoothly. Now we are proud of the room; it's a joy to use, especially the shower, the heated floor and the heated towel rack. How nice is that on a chilly winter's day? We will engage Richard and Jennifer on the next project, this time it is the biggest room in the house, the great room. It cries out for hardwood and paint. It will be a pleasure working with them again.

Hi Scott
Can't wait to start our second project,....

It had been too long since the last exterior window cleaning; they were opaque! A small flyer arrived just about the time I was considering hiring a window cleaner (timing is everything) so I called Chris who came over to give an estimate. It just so happened that I had a small tree that required removal and Chris had that as a note on the flyer, so perfect, we'll get two birds with one stone. We agreed on a price and booked the appointment. It was a really cold day when the time arrived, but Chris showed up anyway and I suggested we postpone until the next day. It was good of him to appear and re-book rather than just not show and explain it after the fact. He did a great job on all the windows and screens and the tree was removed completely. A job well done and I am 100 percent satisfied.

I called for an estimate, met on site a day later to discuss the requirements and had the sense I was not being fed a lot of bull or being sold something I didn't need. I signed the estimate, booked the appointment which was kept right on time. Quality work done exactly as promised, on time and on budget. What else could I ask for? Highly recommended.

We have had a dripping frost-proof faucet that had been poorly installed during a renovation/addition project several years earlier that needed replacing. We have had P H Plumbing do some other work for us in the past and given the efficiency and satisfaction of that experience, call them for this small job. They did not disappoint in doing a professional bit of work. Please use them for any of the work they do and you will not be disappointed, either.

This was the annual furnace checkup. The technician arrived right on time and was friendly, helpful and informative. He explained all the tests and the results and pronounced the furnace healthy for another heating season. There was a little glitch getting the appointment because the Direct Energy online appointment system was down, but in the end I was able to get a convenient appointment from a representative by telephone.
