This is a family business started by the father and now inherited by the son. We used to be friends and neighbours. If they can treat their friends and neighbours like this, just imaging how they will treat the average customer. Overpriced quote for a 200amp panel upgrade and EV charger. Nuisance tripping started immediately after install. Complete lack of after service. The demand was for $80 to come inspect their OWN work and their OWN parts. Justification given as the $80 cost to cover their time, fuel. No regard for how much of a headache the non-stop nuisance tripping of garage door opener, refrigerator was costing me and my family in time, having to reset the breaker 3-10 times just to get the garage door open or closed to get kids to appointments, to get to work, etc. Food was being spoiled from fridge turning off, dishwasher stopping mid cycle. Their estimated quote was $1000-2000 OR MORE to tear down a BRAND NEW RENOVATION in the home to rewire the affected circuits "CORRECTLY". Got a competent electrician who heard the story of nuisance tripping after 200amp panel change, he diagnosed the issue immediately, less than 5 minutes. He removed and replaced 3 Siemens AFCI breakers and the nuisance tripping stopped. Total cost for stopping nuisance tripping was less than $80. Were they really so incompetent that they could not diagnose nuisance tripping in a faulty Siemen's AFCI? Or were they aware and just trying to self-refer for more income? Both are terrible possibilities to consider for so-called licensed electricians. I let the electricians at Richmer electric know that their initial install was FAULTY. They responded by anonymously calling the electrical safety authority (ESA) to report me for exchanging breakers. This was just to inconvenience me further! Just a small taste of how petty this family is. Difficult personalities to deal with all around. Needless to say, nobody needs "friends" like this. To this day, there has not been a single word of sympathy or apology for the inconveniences and nuisances caused by their faulty work. They have absolutely no shame and no remorse. My wife was trapped in the garage with a 2 month old baby crying in the car for an HOUR, running back and forth from the garage to the breaker panel in the basement, trying to get to a doctor's appointment for the baby. She gave up after an hour of the breaker tripping and the garage door not opening. A TOTAL NIGHTMARE.

I was strongly recommended Wight tree service in spring of 2021 when I need extensive tree grooming. There was a substantial amount of grooming needed so a fair price was quoted for the work of 2500$. Unfortunately, a part of the work required work on a neighbour's tree that was overgrown on-top of my house. The crew was reluctant to take too much of the much overgrown tree and it was just pruned back without taking one of the major limbs growing into my property. Furthermore, on the day of the job the chipper was broken so the crew arrived 4 hours late. For the tardiness, inconvenience and inability to prune the neighbour's tree further, it was promised to me from Bonnie and some of the old crew that I would receive a good price for the service the following 2022 season. Come 2022, the entire crew has apparently turned over. There is a man named Richard who came to do the initial quote, heard my story about the year prior, gave me a quote of 1017$ to remove the single tree limb. I left a message indicating that 1017$ seemed expensive for a single tree limb that ideally should have been removed previously. I do not know John's role, but he called me back asking questions about what happened last year and finding all kinds of reasons to say that no discount is warranted because the job quoted was the job completed, despite my dissatisfaction. He pulled up pictures from the year prior as evidence, but I persisted to say that more conversations occured beyond was documented in an initial quote. He then asked me point blank: "What do you expect? Do you want it done for free?" He clearly had lost his patience with the situation. He did offer an additional 200$ discount at the end, but after the insulting conversation, who would agree to do business with these savages? I found another tree service company that charged me 450$ to do the entire job to my absolute satisfaction. They had amazing service as well. Wight is not the same company as it once was. I once was a big fan of theirs, especially with strongly female work force, but I think that was another era and those employees certainly all left for a reason. I do not recommend anybody continue business with Wight tree service and I hope nobody has to suffer a similar conversation with John.

Friendly, warm, professional, family run business. They want to make sure you have a good customer experience so you can tell your friends. Follow them on Instagram and see how much they enjoy what they do. Just a bunch of pleasant, hardworking guys trying to make your project a reality. They even put concrete inside my shed for no extra cost. Check out the picture of their concrete pump. No extra cost to get all the way behind my house a lay down a giant 12x24ft concrete pad so I can enjoy the pandemic from my own backyard patio. The competition quoted me for at least double and could not do the backyard patio since they don't want to rent a pump. These guys do work for the city because their prices are the best and their work is bullet proof. Literally. Thanks Hernani for hooking me up with the best looking driveway and patio on the whole block. Cheers, Lam
