I wanted to upgrade the two bathroom fixtures in our master bathroom and went to Ginger's to see their selection. The store carries an amazing variety of very nice products. They carried a lot of high end brand names that are not found at the regular big box stores. I purchased two and installed them myself. Great customer service also.

I was in Home Depot looking for some sort of material to cover the top of a 3 ft divider wall in the bathroom, where the paint was peeling and getting dirty. I asked an associate in tiling what would be the easy and decorative way to do this, and he suggested that I buy a piece of marble that they use for door thresholds and cut it to size and use a certain mastic to attach it to the top. He was very helpful and showed me where I could get all my supplies. So, for under $100 and about half an hour's time to cut the marble to size and to install it, I had a beautiful marble top for this little wall. I would recommend going to Home Depot to ask for advice for the inexperienced DIY'ers.

When I purchased my house, the shower did not have a door - only a flimsy plastic curtain. I looked online to see the styles offered and especially included delivery and installation. And, Plumbing Mart had a lot of styles and also offered installation. I just called them and informed them of my measurements, and they arranged for someone to come out to my house to install it. I am very happy with my choice and the installation. The product also had a 10 year warranty for the parts, and I only had to replace the plastic sweep once without charge.

When I was starting to put a new backsplash for the kitchen, I didn't know what I wanted for materials and colour. A friend recommended me to go Dufferin Tile as she had bought her materials from there and I really liked her backsplash. They had a lot of materials from low to high end marble and granite to suit your budget. I was able to browse around for more than an hour to look at the materials and displays and fancier trim work etc. Plus they carried the mixing materials and tools to use to complete my project. I got a bunch of ideas from this store to digest back home. I would recommend it to people like me who wants ideas to start any tile work.

I had noticed a gas smell around the fireplace area and knew something was wrong. The fireplace came on without any problems, but I knew there shouldn't be a heavy gas smell when it's off as the pilot light would not give that much of a smell. I called Norfolk Mechanical, a local HVAC company to have a look. The service man came and used his detection tool and noticed that there was a leak inside the fireplace and fixed the leak. I was happy with their fast service and repair and would recommend them to anyone.

My old vacuum cleaner was losing suction power, and the motor seemed to be noisier than usual recently, so I took it to Guy's Vac Shop to see if it could be repaired. The employee who tinkered with it was knowledgeable and advised me that it would cost me about $100 to fix it which includes part and labour. He had it fixed within a few days, and I was very satisfied with the results as it has been a year and it's still working fine. Since it was an expensive machine, I saved money by not buying a brand new one.

I used Hickory Dickory Decks to install a brand new deck at my house in Burlington. At the time, pressure treated seemed the economical selection, and I just wanted a simple rectangle deck coming from the back patio doors. The guys were polite and knowledgeable. And, I was very happy with the results. Plus, the guys would clean up the mess or put away the materials each night to keep it clean.

One winter, my furnace konked out on a cold night, and I called Boonstra to fix it. They came right away and advised me that I had to replace the entire furnace. It was very cold and I didn't want another potential problem of burst water pipes. So, they gave me a quote and thought it was fair considering that they would be able to install it within the next two days. I was very happy with their service.

I've been using Jody's for 6 years. Their service is adequate but seems too high for this area as they charge per cutting. They are basically the only big lawancare service company and are quite reliable. However, I would look at other reliable companies if there were any around.

I used ClimateCare to service my AC unit and furnace once a year as an annual maintenace procedure. The employee was knowledgeable and tested both units. By servicing both the furnace and the AC unit on one call, I believe I saved some money.
