Roof was replaced in 2014. Contract clearly states 10 year warranty against workmanship. In the late summer of 2021, we noticed water intrusion through our bedroom window. We eventually suspected it to be coming from the roof during heavy down pours. The owner of the company came out to inspect the roof and stated there were no issues with the roof. In October, more rain and more water intrusion into the bedroom. I looked into the attic and noticed there was a dark line at the joints of the roof panels, clearly indicating water intrusion. I called HR Roofing to come and do an inspection on the inside of the house. They did not respond to my calls or my text messages, using a number we had previously corresponded through. We had another roofing specialist recommended through a company that did our kitchen renovation and they came out. He went up on the roof and provided pictures of issues, in the exact spot where we told him we suspected the problem was. This was clearly a workmanship issue in his opinion. We contracted this roofer to correct the issue as HR Roofing was unresponsive, and ignoring our communications. Further pictures taken during the repair revealed that ice water protection was not installed per the quote. Although the cost of the roof replacement was attractively low, we regret not having done better due diligence on the company we used.
