Several visits to look for high end appliances led us to Caplan. We purchased several items from them and received good service from knowledgable sales staff and competitive pricing. They held on to the appliances and the pricing while we were developing the renovation plans & shifted delivery several times to accommodate our schedule. our overall experience with Caplan Appliances was more than satisfactory.
We found a new material for counters & backsplash called Dekton. We went to the supplier and were given a list of 4 fabricators who were certified to work with this material. We met with Peter who seemed enthused to do the job. Apparently just after we had our template completed, a flu bug swept through the shop causing considerable delay in the fabrication & installation of out counters & backsplash. The issue was communication and our expectations could easily been reset with open clear communication. Instead of 7 to 10 days to install we were out 16 days and to finish the job including counters & backsplash was fully 4 weeks. The installers, Al & Chris, were awesome and the end state is very satisfactory
New cupboards with great imagination
From 1st contact with this company we were on the same wave length and ultimately selected them to plan, build and install our new cupboards. The lead time is about 12 weeks, but thats all part of the planning. The kitchen arrived on time and the lead installer Nicola, is an artist and crafted our new kitchen with such attention to detail, we were very pleased. We are just now starting to enjoy all of the features that are built in to this kitchen. We love it!

We've used this painter in the past and have been highly satisfied with the work. They chose to paint before the new kitchen was installed. The job was completed on time & in budget, with a promise to return to do any touch ups required once construction was complete. What more could you want!
Wiring upgrade for new kitchen
The quote received for the work to be completed was reasonable and competitive. Brian & Kevin showed up on time and completed the rewiring in a timely manner. Brian had to come back to relocate 4 outlets to locations for my partner's convenience, including two countertop pop-up outlets. There were other required visits to wire the pop-ups, oven and cooktop. All work was completed in a timely and professional manner.

We had originally wanted Habitat for Humanity to remove and salvage the entire kitchen, however the residual value was insufficient to warrant having this completed by their staff. After the General Contractor disassembled the kitchen and moved it to a secure location, the Habitat recovery team showed up as scheduled, loaded all of the material in a highly efficient manner. all of the material was donated to be reused instead of going to landfill. Day one over and all went perfect!
Vano & Son construction Ltd started us on our journey to a new kitchen. We're in a condo so there are lots of rules to follow. The company complied with all rules, showed up on time, completed the disassembly of the entire kitchen, including recovering the granite counter top intact and removed all material and appliances in a timely manner. So on time and on budget. Perfect!
minor repairs and paint 2 rooms
Michael was prompt, enthusiastic and talked a great story. Regretably, he was short on delivering the service promised, to the point where the paint store who recommended him intervened, replaced the paint and found a different contractor to finish the job. To quote the paint store owner after viewing the job "this is a disaster" overall rating '0', would you recommend? 'NO!'
